Heavenly Father, search me, I pray, and identify any area in my life that is not pleasing to You. May I live godly in Christ Jesus and in submissive obedience to Your Holy Spirit. I pray that I may fulfil all that You would have me to do in my life, to Your praise and glory. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Loving Father, thank You for enriching me in all possible ways, in Christ Jesus my Lord. I pray that I may live in a way that is pleasing to You in all speech and activity so that Your name is glorified in my life, In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
Father God, I confess that I could not draw another breath without Your strength. Thank You that You have covered me with the robe of Christ's righteousness, for His name's sake, and have promised to keep and sustain me through every season of my life, until I stand in His presence and am presented to You as blameless. Enable me to finish the work You have given me to do, for Your praise and glory. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that You are a faithful God, Who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Thank You that I have been called into fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ. May I live to His praise and glory, day by day. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, forgive the times when I have allowed foolish pride or a careless attitude to cause disunity to fester within my heart towards my brothers and sisters in Christ. May I be of one heart and mind with other believers, knowing that we are all one in Christ Jesus our Lord, in Whose name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the Scriptures and the many lessons I can learn from Paul's corrective teachings in his various epistles. I pray that the Body of Christ may become increasingly united in these difficult and dangerous days in which we live. Help us to hold fast to the truth of the glorious gospel, and may we all be diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in our churches and in our fellowship together, for Jesus' name's sake. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, I pray that I may be used by You to teach the truth of Jesus Christ, my crucified and resurrected Saviour, to all that You put in my pathway. Keep me from promoting myself in a prideful manner, but I pray that I may be used as an instrument to shed abroad the glorious news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. To His praise and glory, AMEN.
Praise God for the message of the Cross. Praise You, Lord, that You loved the world so much that You gave Your only begotten Son to be our Saviour, to die on the Cross so that we might live with Him forever. Thank You that Jesus became a man and died on the Cross to be our substitute for sin, by means of His shed blood on Calvary's Cross. And all praise and glory be to You, that He broke the power of sin and death to all who believe on His name. Thank You, forever and ever, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that in Your wisdom, You set at nought all man's self-proclaimed wisdom and self-confident merit by sending the Lord Jesus to die on the Cross and rise again the third day, proclaiming faith in Him alone to be the one and only Way to salvation. Keep me looking to Jesus and living humbly before You all the days of my life. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the wisdom and power of the Cross, which has saved me by grace through faith in Christ and is conforming me into the likeness of the Lord Jesus, day by day. Keep me low at the Cross and help me to keep my priorities focused on Christ crucified. I know that the Cross is a stumbling-block to some and foolishness to others, but to me it is life. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that while I was still a sinner, Christ died for me and that in Your grace and wisdom, You have given Your free gift of salvation to all who will humbly receive the glorious truth that is contained within the message of the Cross. Keep me low at the Cross and broken before You. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that in Your goodness and grace, You sent the Lord Jesus Christ to die on the Cross to save my soul. Thank You that You communicated the message of salvation to all who will believe the written Word of truth and trust in the incarnate Word of God, by believing the message of the Cross. Thank You that Jesus became the sin-sacrifice for all who will simply believe on His name. Thank You for dying for my sins and for rising again, to give Your eternal life to all who will believe in the message of the Cross. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that in Your goodness and grace, You opened my understanding to the glorious gospel of God and brought me into Your family, by grace through faith in the simple message of the Cross. Use me, I pray, to be a channel of blessing to others who are still in darkness. I pray that the stumbling block for many in Israel would be removed, and that those who have rejected the gospel because of arrogance, pride, self-confidence, and self-sanctification, would have the eyes of their heart opened to see that Christ crucified is their only hope. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that in Your wisdom, You anchored Your plan of salvation on the Cross of Christ. Thank You for its cleansing flood and for saving me by grace through faith. Lord, You have chosen the foolish things of this world to confound the wise, and I will never cease to praise You for all Your grace and goodness, to me and to all men. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for Jesus and for Your gracious plan of salvation. Thank You that in Your wisdom, You determined the one and only means of salvation to be faith in the eternal Son of God Who was born into His own creation so that by His sacrificial death and glorious Resurrection, all who believe on Him are redeemed from the curse of the Law, made the righteousness of God in Christ, and have the power of death broken forever in their lives. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, I have nothing to recommend myself except for the death of Jesus Christ, my Saviour and King. May I come to a deeper knowledge and understanding of the amazing message of the Cross and all that Christ has done for me through His death, burial, and Resurrection. He alone is worthy of all praise. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, may I never seek to rely on my own human wisdom, physical strength, and clever manipulation, but on Jesus Christ and Him crucified. In Him is found all wisdom, might, majesty, dominion, power, strength, love, and life. In His name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that I am accepted in the Beloved and my salvation does not depend on my debating skills, intellectual capacities, business acumen, or human wisdom. I pray that I may develop an attitude of heart that trusts in You implicitly, and looks to Jesus, day by day. Thank You that You take the base things of the world and people that are insignificant in the eyes of the proud, and use them for Your greater glory. Use me I pray, and help me to walk humbly before You all the days of my life. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that I have nothing to boast about, except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Thank You that it is by grace through faith in the finished work of Christ alone, that I have been redeemed and have received the forgiveness of sins and life everlasting. Thank You that you have chosen the foolish things of this world to confound the wise. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Thank You, Father, for this glorious truth that I am positioned in Christ Who has become unto me wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption. I pray that I may also allow Christ's life to be lived through me so that I am not only positioned in Him, but allowing His life to be lived through me. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, help me to take my eyes off myself and to set the eyes of my heart firmly on the Lord Jesus Christ. Help me to recognise and reject the foolish philosophies of the ‘wise’, and the vain glories that the world may offer. God forbid that I should glory, except in the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
Loving Father, I pray that in all I say and do, that You may be lifted high in my heart so that people only see Jesus in me, until I am nothing and He is all in all. In His name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, I praise You for my salvation and my redemption. Thank You that I am fully reconciled to You, through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. I pray that in the days ahead, I set all else aside, except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, what a wonderful example of a man of humility and grace who did not seek to use His own wisdom, academic ability, intellectual stature, or oratory skills in his ministry, but recognised his own human limitation and instead, became a living sacrifice unto God. I pray that I will never seek to elevate my own importance in the eyes of man but present my life as a living sacrifice, holy to the Lord - so that in Your power I may be enabled to share the simple gospel of grace to a lost and dying world, not in my own strength, but through the power of Him Who called me out of darkness into His glorious light. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that You gave to Paul and Your other apostles, the message of the Cross, which is the greatest demonstration of the Spirit and of power, for it saved a wretch like me. Thank You that salvation does not necessitate worldly wisdom but comes through the message of the Cross. Praise Your holy name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, forgive me for the times that I have sought to do things in my own strength or tried to use my own powers of persuasion to lead others to Christ. Help me to share the truth of the gospel of grace, simply and truthfully, as led by the Spirit of God, so that my faith and theirs may be founded on the truth and not influenced by worldly rhetoric, to Your praise and glory. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for opening my understanding to the message of the Cross, which is the power on which my faith is founded - through Christ Jesus my Saviour. Thank You that You have opened my understanding to the truth of the glorious gospel of grace. I pray that many who are dead in sin and deceived by the vain philosophies of this world, would be convicted of their sin and converted to faith in Christ, in Whose name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, how astonishing to know that the mystery of the Cross, that was hidden for ages and generations, has been revealed to those who have trusted Christ for the forgiveness of sins. How I praise and glorify You that eye has not seen and ear has not heard the amazing things that You have prepared for those that love You. Increase my love and longing for You, and help me to share the truth of the gospel of grace with those You place in my path - for Your greater praise and glory. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, Your plans and purposes are unsurpassed. Thank You for bringing me into Your family and opening up to my understanding the wonderful works of God and the amazing wisdom of God’s plan of salvation. I pray that I may grow in grace and in a deepening knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, with every passing day. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Thank You, Heavenly Father, that in Your goodness and grace, You chose to reveal Yourself and the wonderful message of redemption in Your Word. I pray that I would earnestly study the Word, but keep me from hankering after a knowledge of things which You have chosen to keep hidden from my sight. Thank You that my blessed hope is in Christ, and the wonders of my eternal future are hidden in Him. To Him be all praise and glory, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the wisdom from above and for the inspired Word of God which contains all we need for life and godliness. Thank You for the indwelling Holy Spirit Who continues to guide us into all truth as we study the Scriptures and submit to His leading and guidance. Thank You in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that You convicted me of my sin, of Christ’s righteousness, and of the judgement which has been passed on all who do not, by grace through faith, come to trust in Christ as Saviour. Help me to live a spiritual life, and not revert back to carnal pursuits and worldly ways. May I walk in the power of Your Holy Spirit, growing in spiritual wisdom and discernment, day by day, to Your praise and glory. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, what a great joy and privilege it is to know that my body is a temple of God. By the power of Your indwelling Holy Spirit, I am enabled to judge all things and be appraised by no one. Keep me low at the Cross and ever open to the leading and guidance of Your Holy Spirit. Prevent me from being enticed into the ways of the world or influenced by human wisdom. Guide me into all truth, I pray, as I stand firm on the unchangeable Word of Truth, and may the mind of Christ dwell in me richly. This I pray in His holy name, AMEN.
Father God, thank You that I have the mind of Christ. Please take my life and let it be consecrated, Lord, to You. Use my intellect to Your glory and help me to live like Jesus lived - in humble obedience before You, only doing those things that You would have me to do. Help me to place all my carnal inclinations on the altar of sacrifice, and live for You alone, for I want to live in spirit and truth, for Your praise and glory. In Christ's name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the many warnings against worldliness, carnality, and fleshly desires. Help me to press on for the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. May I become one whose focus is on Christ. My desire is to live and work for Your greater praise and glory. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Lord Jesus, I pray that I may abide in You and grow in grace so that, day by day, I may be conformed into Your image. I ask this in Your name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, there is so much to learn from the corrective instructions in Paul’s letter to the Corinthians. Prevent me from falling into the trap of elevating myself or others in the Body of Christ. Develop in me a teachable spirit, and may all of us in the Body of Christ learn the value of living in unity of spirit for the glory of God. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Loving Father, thank You for the privilege of being used in the world as a witness of the Lord Jesus Christ, and to do the work that You have already prepared for me to do. Root out all that is of me, and replace it with the sweet nature of the Lord Jesus, as I carry out the work that You have prepared for me to do, in the power of the Holy Spirit. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, how I bless and thank You for Your amazing plan of salvation. Thank You that Your dearly loved Son laid aside His glory to become a man so that He could give up His sinless life and bring many sons into glory - by faith in Him. Thank You that Jesus is the Rock of my salvation and the Foundation Stone upon which my faith is founded. Keep me looking to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith, in Whose name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, teach me, I pray, to walk in spirit and truth and to live as a spiritual man and not as a carnal Christian. Teach me to live my life as unto You. May my self-life remain nailed to the Cross, and may my new life in Christ do only those things that are honouring to You. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, I am beginning to understand the incredible privilege and the serious consequences of having Your Spirit indwelling my body. I pray that I may live worthy of the calling to which I have been called. Help me live my life from this day forward, as unto the Lord. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, forgive me for the times I have fallen into the trap of carnality and worldly thinking. I pray that I may keep the eyes of my consciousness upon the Lord Jesus. Keep me from allowing the mind-set of the world to infiltrate my heart and affect my witness. I pray that I may develop spiritual wisdom and forward the good news of the gospel of Christ in a mature manner, that does not engage in unnecessary squabbling or petty differences but is ready to give an instructive answer for the hope I have in Christ. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Loving Father, how I thank You that I have been given all spiritual riches to richly enjoy. Thank You for equipping me in the ministry that You have given to me. May my eyes look to Jesus and not to the one that has instructed me about Jesus, for He alone is worthy of praise. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Loving Father, thank You that I belong to Christ. I pray that I may know Christ more and more. May I know Him more deeply and intimately, even today. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the example of Paul, the servant of Christ and faithful steward of the mysteries of God. Equip pastors and elders today to take their responsibilities toward their congregations serious and biblically. Give me discernment, I pray, and keep me from being sucked into wrong thinking or carnal ways. May I run my race well, looking to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith. This I ask in His precious name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the faithful ministry of Paul, who was used to write the Scriptures for our learning. These precious epistles contain so much important information on how to walk in spirit and truth, and to live a life that honours Your name. Thank You that Paul was not only faithful in teaching the gospel of grace, but also was ready and willing to challenge and correct ungodly issues in the congregation, at the risk of damaging relationships. I pray that like Paul, I too may be faithful in the work You have called me to do. I want to bring honour to Your holy name by the words I say and the life I live. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Christ as my Passover Lamb Who died for my sin so that I might be released from the punishment of sin. And thank You that He died unto sin so that I might be released from the power of sin. Praise Your holy name. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
Loving Lord and Heavenly Father, I do thank You for the family of Christ into which You have placed me and the loving fellowship that we enjoy together. As we study Your Word and seek to encourage each other in our little gatherings, I pray that the Word of Christ would dwell in us richly.
Help each of us to be willing to learn and also recognise the need to be accountable to each other as well as to You, as we seek to grow in grace corporately. Bless those that You have seen fit to equip each of us, and I pray that those who have been graced with the gift of teacher may motivate us all to be willing learners of You.
Lord, I know that one day I will stand before Your Bema judgement seat and I long to hear You say, “well done good and faithful servant.” I pray that in the days that I have ahead, I would draw close to You, and to my brothers and sisters in Christ, as together, we await that glorious day when we stand in Your presence, face to face with You.
Thank You, in Jesus' name,
Amen.
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word and the truths that it contains. Keep me from all forms of sexual sins and perverted acts and attitudes, thoughts and imaginations. May the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart be pure in Your sight, so that my life is not only positionally holy but practically holy - in all I say and do - to the honour of Your name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that I am washed clean in the blood of Christ, positioned in Him, and set apart unto You. I pray that I may grow in grace, mature in the faith, and walk in spirit and truth to Your praise and glory. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the freedom I have in Christ. Thank You that I am not under any form of the Law, but under grace. Keep me from sin, I pray, and give me wisdom to recognise things that are permissible, but which are not expedient, and help me to live my life in a way that honours You. Thank You that in Christ, all things are lawful unto me, but I pray that I will not cause another to stumble or backslide in my own Christian life. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for creating me spirit, soul, and body. Thank You that I have been saved (spirit, soul, and body), by grace through faith in Christ. How I praise and thank You that I have the Holy Spirit dwelling within my body. I pray that I may be a worthy witness to Your goodness and grace, and that my body is a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto You. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You that You not only created me, but have purchased me as Your own precious possession. The price to You was so costly, I will never be able to comprehend it. Thank You that Jesus shed His life blood to purchase me back from the slave market of sin. I pray that I may glorify You in body, soul, and spirit, from this day forward. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your guidance on Christian marriages, the single state, and celibacy, both in Paul’s letter to the Corinthians and throughout Your Word. Thank You for the institution of marriage and the many instructions given to married couples. Thank You also, for the exhortations to those that remain unmarried. I pray that in whatever state I find myself during my time on earth, my life would be a living sacrifice unto God and I would conduct myself as unto the Lord. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word and the wise counsel that it gives in connection with our relationship with one another and in particular our marriage partnerships. I pray that the way that I conduct my life, may be a true reflection of You and I pray that I may seek to implement the godly instructions that are found in the Word of God to Your honour and glory. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for my life and for the gifts and graces that have been given me from above. May I walk in a way that honours You in my marriage, my home, and my church family. May I conduct myself well in the situation to which You have assigned me. And may my choices in life be wise and honourable, as I become increasingly conformed into Christ’s image and likeness. I pray that others will begin to see Jesus in me, to the glory of His name. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that Your born-again children are not bound to any cultural rules, religious rituals, or nationalistic identities. Thank You that whosoever will, may come to Christ and be saved, by grace through faith in Him. Help me to obey Your Word, keep Your commands, and do only those things that honour Your name so that I may grow from Christian babyhood into a mature believer. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that in Christ I have been set free from the bondage of sin and death and that in Christ I have been made free indeed. Today, I humbly offer myself to You as Your bond-slave, to will and to do only those things that You would have me do, for I have been bought with a price - the precious blood of Jesus Christ my God and my Saviour, in Whose name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that I am in Christ, having been purchased by His precious blood, and I now have a high and heavenly calling to live my life as unto You. Keep me faithful to my calling in Christ, and may I not allow my spiritual walk to be influenced by the circumstances in which I find myself, but live my life to Your praise and glory, and in humble obedience to my heavenly calling. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for all that You are teaching me from the epistles of Paul and the many lessons to learn from my Christian brothers and sisters in those early days of the Church. May I never become a stumbling-block in the lives of my brothers and sisters in Christ or place an obstacle in their path because of the freedom I have found in You. Help me to carefully consider the needs and sensitivities of others before my own, for Your greater glory. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for this important teaching on financial giving and for showing me the responsibility we all have in supporting those who share the gospel of Christ. Thank You for the ministers and ministries that have helped me in my Christian walk. I pray that You would provide all that they need to continue the good work they are doing in sharing the gospel, and may I be wise and generous in my support, for Your name’s sake and for Your greater glory. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for sending the Lord Jesus to be the sacrifice for sin, and for the many privileges that accompany my great salvation. Thank You that salvation is free to all and comes without cost. I pray that I would feel constrained to carry out the good work that You have prepared for me to do and tell others the good news that Christ died for their sin and rose again so that by faith in Him, they too might have forgiveness of sin and life everlasting This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, how wonderful to know that there is no one who is excluded from Your offer of salvation, for whosoever will, may come to faith in Christ and be saved through His redeeming blood. I pray that You would give me opportunities to share the good news of the gospel of Christ to people in my corner of the world, and help me to become all things to all men so that by any means some may be saved. Thank You that it is not Your will that any should perish but that all should come to faith in Jesus Christ, in Whose name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, I pray that I will run the race that is set before me, to Your praise and glory. May I conduct my Christian life in the power of Your Holy Spirit. May I exercise self-control and consider the needs of others before my own. And may I endure patiently in the trials of life. Lord, I want to run the race to win, to Your honour and glory. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, what an amazing testimony we see in Paul who demonstrated a disciplined life that was spent preaching the glorious gospel of grace to Jew and Gentile alike. Thank You that all who live godly in Christ Jesus and exercise self-control in their Christian life are promised an imperishable crown, that will never fade away. Help me to press on for the upward call of God, in Christ Jesus my Lord. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the beautiful picture of Israel being under the cloud of Your supernatural protection, and thank You that like them, all who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ have "passed through the sea of death" through faith in Him. Thank You that by faith in Christ, I have been baptised into His Body and passed from death to life. Help me to learn all the lessons You would have me to learn, and may I be a worthy witness to a lost world of Your goodness and grace. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that I have been born from above, and am identified with Christ Jesus, my Lord, by faith. Thank You that I have been baptised into His Body and am one with Him. Thank You for the lessons I can learn from the Children of Israel who were all baptised into Moses, in the cloud, and in the sea. I pray that I would live a victorious life in Christ and not fall into unbelief, like Israel in the wilderness. Keep me low at the Cross and looking to Jesus - the Author and Finisher of my faith, in Whose name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that Jesus is the Living Bread and the Water of Life, Who renews my spirit, refreshes my soul, and restores to me the joy of my salvation. Help me to learn the lessons of life and living, that You would teach me through Israel's lack, and I pray that I would grow in grace and mature in the faith for Your greater praise and glory. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, it is easy to criticise the nation of Israel for their ungodly behaviour, wrong attitudes, rebellious ways, spiritual apostasy, and national failure, and yet I see that I could easily make the same mistakes, live a defeated life and fail You in word and deed. I pray that the indwelling Spirit of Christ would direct my behaviour and my attitudes. Keep me low at the cross, broken before you, trusting Your Word and looking to Jesus. I pray that I may grow in grace day by day and I ask that You change me into the person You want me to be, for without You I can do nothing right. Thank You in Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the glorious promises in Your Word, that we are eternally secure in Christ. But Father, I pray that I would never abuse the freedom I have in Christ. I pray that I may become increasingly conscious to take heed of my spiritual walk in Christ, lest I also fall into sin and discredit Your holy name. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Jesus Who understands what it is like to be tempted in life. Thank You that He is able to sympathise with all our weaknesses. Thank You that there is no temptation that I have to face that is not common to the human race, and thank You that You have promised to provide a way of escape, by grace through faith in Christ, when trial come my way. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that You have saved me from my old ungodly way of life and breathed into me the new life of Christ Jesus. Keep me, I pray, from falling into any ungodly practices, and prevent me from flirting with practices that trouble my conscience or the conscience of others. May I walk in newness of life to Your honour and glory, from this day forward. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that I am in union with Christ and a member of His mystical Body, which is the Church. I pray that we may be united together in love and truth, knowing that we have all partaken of the one Bread, which is Christ. Thank You that His body was broken for me and His blood was spilt to pay the price for my sin. To Him be all honour and glory, and in His precious name I pray, AMEN.
Loving Father, thank You for the liberty I have in Christ. Help me to live a life that is worthy of You. Help me to be helpful and edifying to my brothers and sisters in Christ, in all I say and do. May I be increasingly conformed to the likeness of Christ, in Whose name I pray, AMEN.
Oh Lord my God, how I long to be one whose life is a living testimony to Your goodness and grace and whose only desire is to live my life to glorify You. Take my life, Lord, and may Your will be done in all I say and do today. Use me as a vessel to Your praise and glory in such a way that You increase, and I decrease, until it is Christ living in and through me, to His praise and glory. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the institution of the Lord's Supper. Thank You that we are called to remember the high price that Jesus paid for our sin and for our communal remembrance at the communion table. May I never become complacent about the enormous price that was paid for my sin. Help me to honour Your holy name when I meet together with my brothers and sisters in Christ. May I continue to remember the Lord Jesus' death in this way, until He comes again. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that You love me so much that Your punishment is not designed to harm me, but to return me into precious fellowship with Yourself. Help me to keep a short rein on my sin and confess it quickly to You. I pray that I will be teachable and learn every lesson that You would give me, through Your chastening programme. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, help me to surrender my life to You and use the gifts and graces with which I have been blessed, with wisdom, and for Your greater glory. Thank You, that I am part of the wider Body of Christ. Thank You, that we are being fitted together as Your holy dwelling place. I pray that together we may learn to use our spiritual gifts for the benefit of the whole Body, and rejoice that we are One in Christ, through time and into eternity. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that Jesus is my Lord and my God, and that He came to earth from heaven to die on the cross for my sins, and the sins of the whole world. Thank You that You lifted me out of the slave-market of sin and seated me together with Christ in heavenly places. Give me wisdom and discernment to identify pretenders in the faith, who are sheep in wolves clothing... and increasingly open the eyes of my understanding to know You more, and to love You better. This I ask in Jesus' precious name, AMEN.
Loving Father, thank You that I am part of Your Body and for the gifts You have graciously bestowed on each one of Your children. I pray that I may use the gifts You have given me, to encourage and edify the Body of Christ, to Your praise and glory. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that I am part of the Body of Christ and for the gifts and graces that You have given to me. I pray that I may live my life according to Your perfect plans and purposes. Use me to compliment the work carried out by my brothers and sisters in Christ, and I pray that I may be a beautiful testimony of the goodness and grace of Jesus Christ my Lord, to a lost and dying world. Unite the whole Body of Christ, with a dependant mutuality, so that as individuals we may be truly united as one Body, to serve You in the place where You have planted us. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that all believers are full and equal members of the Church and that by Your grace, I was baptised into the Body of Christ at salvation. Thank You that I can partake of the same spiritual benefits that have been promised to all Your children. And thank You for the gifts, graces, benefits, and ministry You have seen fit to give me individually, by Your grace. I pray that I may be a willing and obedient member of Christ's Body, and fulfil all the work You have prepared for me to do, to Your praise and glory. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the privilege of being united to Christ by faith and being part of Your Body - the Church. Thank You for my brothers and sisters in Christ, and I pray that we would be united together in love. I pray that in all things we would learn to love You with all our heart and soul and mind and strength and put the needs of our brothers and sisters in Christ before our own, for Your greater praise and glory. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gifts of the Spirit and the wide diversity of gifts and graces that You graciously bestow on Your all children. Thank You that I am a member of the Body of Christ and that together, our diverse spiritual gifts can be exercised for the greater benefit of the whole Body. May we all grow in grace and in a knowledge of Jesus, and be enabled to provide edification for one another, as well as being edified by them. Thank You that we are not meant to live in spiritual isolation from other believers, but are a collective Body, that is being built up into the Temple of God. Enable me to exercise the spiritual gift with which I have been endowed, for the greater benefit of the wider Body of Christ. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that you give each of Your children one or more gifts of the Spirit, to be used in love and to Your glory. Help me to use the gifts that you have bestowed on me, in a way that does not dishonour or displease You. May my spiritual gifts be rooted and grounded in Christ’s love. In His name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, keep me ever humble before Your throne of grace. Help me to use my spiritual gifts and graces to encourage and edify my brothers and sisters in Christ and to glorify Your name. May I live my life in love. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, may the love of God stream through me so that by Your Spirit, my life may enrich the lives of others and glorify my Father in heaven. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, develop in me the godly fruit of love. May I live in love and seek to love as Christ loved. Keep me from jealousy and boastfulness, and may the love of Jesus be seen in and through me, by the power of Your Holy Spirit. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, teach me, I pray, to walk in love, and keep me from any unbecoming actions or ungodly motives. Identify in me any areas of my life that discredit my witness for You, and I pray that I may walk in the way of righteousness. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, develop in me that spiritual fruit that does not delight in evil, but rejoices in the truth. May I learn to live in total dependence upon You so that the beautiful fruit of love may bud, blossom, and mature in my life. To You be all the glory. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, I pray that in the power of the Holy Spirit, I may learn through obedience, to develop the exquisite characteristic of Christ-like love in my life. May others see Your love reflected in me and be drawn to You. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
How great is Your love for me, Father, and how I long to be more like You. Fill me with Your love, saturate me with Your pure, holy, unconditional, everlasting, godly love, I pray. May I be a transparent channel through which Your love may flow out to others. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Thank You Father for Your gift of salvation by grace alone – simply because we believe in Your Son. Thank You for the hope that is set before us and thank You for the love of the Lord Jesus, which was demonstrated to us on a wooden cross, 2000 years ago. May His love flood our hearts and pour through us into the lives of others, that they may know Your love, have faith in Your finished work and receive that blessed hope in their hearts, that only comes from You, in Jesus name I pray, AMEN.
Thank You, Heavenly Father, for Your Word and the truths that are contained within its pages. I praise You for the wonderful way You taught the early Church the truths of the gospel and for protecting its message, through the power of the Holy Spirit. I pray that I would say and do nothing that would communicate an indistinct gospel message to those I witness to. Keep my heart pure and my actions honouring to You. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the words of instruction that were given to the Saints in Corinth. I pray that any ungodly or carnal attitude that I have developed in my Christian walk, would be identified and dealt with. Thank You that You are not a God of confusion. I pray that You would give me wisdom when I come across disunity within the Body of Christ so that I may know how to behave and what to do in a way that honours Your name and character. Help me to walk, day by day, in humility and godly righteousness to Your honour and glory. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, in a world that is seeking to undermine the very foundation of our Christian faith, I pray that Your Church would stand fast on the truth of Scripture; that Christ died for our sins according to the Bible, that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day. May the gospel of grace remain foundational to our faith, even in the onslaught of those that would seek to obliterate the truth. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word of truth. Thank You that You sent the Lord Jesus to die on the Cross to pay the price for my sins, that He rose again the third day, according to the Scriptures, and that His resurrected life has been imparted to me. Just as my old sin nature is identified with His death, so my new life in Christ is identified with His Resurrection and life everlasting. Thank You, in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Loving Father, sometimes I am so familiar with the truth of Scripture, that I do not adequately take in its enormous significance. Help the truth of Jesus' death and Resurrection permeate deep into my heart, for You are good and gracious, and Your mercy toward me is everlasting. I love You, Lord. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that I have been saved by believing on the death, burial, and Resurrection of Your only begotten Son, my Saviour Jesus Christ, AMEN.
Dear Lord, thank You for the eyewitness accounts of You in Your resurrected body. Thank You, that Your death and Resurrection united believers from all backgrounds, into one Body in Christ. Thank You that in Your grace, You used the apostle Peter to officially 'unlock' the good news of the gospel to all people, tongues, and nations, and used Paul as the apostle to the Gentiles. May I be ready and willing to share the gospel message with whosoever I come in contact today. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank you that like Paul it is by the grace of God that I am what I am. It is by Your grace that I have been saved through faith in Christ and it is by grace that I am maturing in the faith and being conformed into the image and likeness of Christ, for Your praise and glory. Thank You for the example of Paul who helps me to understand that it is not the labour of my hand that is reckoned as righteousness, but the grace of God working through me, that words the work of God. May I do all to Your praise and glory. Thank You in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Thank You, Heavenly Father, for the beautiful truth that Christ is the resurrected First-Fruit from the dead, for all who trust in Him. Thank You that I am not only clothed in His righteousness, but will one day receive a new, glorified body. May the God of peace Himself, sanctify me completely, and may my whole spirit, and soul, and body, be kept blameless at the coming of my Lord Jesus Christ. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the amazing 15th chapter of Corinthians which goes into such specific detail about Christ's victory over sin and death - on our account. I praise and thank You that because of His great sacrifice on the Cross and glorious, bodily Resurrection, we too are raised into newness of life in Christ - not only in this world but also into the eternal ages to come, where we will be clothed in our eternal, resurrected bodies - for when we see Him as He is we shall be like Him, for which I praise Your holy name. Thank You, in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Loving Father, thank You that my hope is in Christ and His finished work. Thank You that through time in this life and into the eternal ages to come, He is my peace, my sufficiency, and my everlasting hope, which never fails. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
Praise the Lord for the power of the Cross of Christ, and thank You, Father, for the death and Resurrection of Jesus. Thank You that my sins were dealt with at the Cross, and death has lost its sting through the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus. In His name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, how wonderful to know that in Your grace, You purposed to redeem the fallen race of Adam, through the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus. You could have walked away from sinful man and allowed death to claim every one of us, for we have all sinned and fallen short of Your glory. And yet, You sent Jesus to be the propitiation for our sins to become the Federal Head of a new and perfect creation freed from the penalty of sin and released from its power. Thank You that although I was born in sin and death, by grace through faith in Christ, I have been made alive in Him and have been raised, through His Resurrection, into life immortal. Praise Your holy name that by Your goodness and grace, death has been swallowed up in His victory. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for Paul's amazingly comprehensive chapter on 'The First Resurrection to Life' and 'The Second Resurrection to Damnation'. Thank You that Jesus died on the Cross to pay the price for my sin and thank You that death had no hold on His sinless body and He rose from the dead as the glorious First-fruit of ALL who would place their faith in Him. Thank You that His Resurrection broke the power of sin and death in my life, and that through Him the sting of death has been neutralised for all who believe, and death is swallowed up in victory. Give me greater understanding of Your amazing plan of redemption. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for telling us the end from the beginning and that despite man's sin, You implemented Your plan of redemption so that whosoever believes on the name of the Lord will be saved. Thank You that Christ has gained the victory over sin, Satan, death, hell, and every evil ruler and demonic authority. Keep the eyes of my heart fixed on Jesus, and help me live and work for Your greater praise and glory. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, what an amazing plan of redemption You have purposed, and how I praise and thank You for telling me the end from the beginning. Thank You for the Scriptures that teach and train, encourage and comfort. Thank You for Paul's detailed discourse on the Resurrection and the wonderful truth that because Jesus lives, I too will be raised to life immortal. Help me to live a life that honours Your name. I look forward to the day when Christ comes to take me to be with Himself and ask that You help me to occupy until that glorious day. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the glorious truth of Christ’s Resurrection from the dead and that because He lives, I too will rise to life immortal. Death has always hung over the human race as the one inevitable end to all our lives. What an amazing truth that death itself will be destroyed. No mind can imagine what it cost You to send Your beloved Son into the world to be the sacrifice for sin and what it cost Christ to lay aside His glory and come to earth as a perfect man, live a sinless life, be rejected by those He came to save and crucified as a criminal, but rise again and became the First-fruit from the grave, conquering sin, Satan, and death itself. Thank You that Jesus is established as the federal Head of Your New Creation and Head of the Church. All honour, and glory, and might, and majesty belongs to You, for Your goodness and grace. Praise Your holy name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that because Christ is risen from the dead, my earthly, corrupted, mortal body will be raised - a heavenly and incorruptible body that will not fade away. Help me to remain steadfast and immovable - always abounding in the work of the Lord. Thank You that my work is not in vain in the Lord, but will receive a great reward. May all I do, be done to Your greater praise and glory. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Loving Father, thank You for Jesus, the last Adam Who gave His life for me and broke the terrible power of sin and death in my mortal body so that I might receive His life forever. For this, I praise You now and into eternity. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Thank You, Father, that You have given me eternal, abundant life, by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus, the second Man Who came down from heaven to die for me. Thank You that in Him, I have been forgiven of my sins and given a heavenly inheritance. All praise to His holy name, AMEN.
Thank You, Lord, that You purposed from the foundation of the world to save mankind. Thank You that by grace through faith in Christ, I have been transferred from the old creation in Adam to the new creation in Christ. Thank You that my spirit has been regenerated and I have been given a new nature in Christ. I pray that I may keep the old sin nature nailed to the Cross. I praise and thank You that one day, this mortal body will be clothed with immortality, because I now bear the image of the heavenly Lord Jesus. In His name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your wonderful plan of redemption and for Jesus Christ, the eternal Son, Who laid aside His heavenly glory, to come to earth and be born into the human race. Thank You that He was willing to take on the form of human flesh so that He could live a perfect life, in order to be qualified to shed His innocent blood for the sins of the world. He willingly died for me and gave His very lifeblood on my behalf so that by faith in Him, I might be identified with His death and glorious Resurrection. Thank You that by faith in Him, I have been imputed with His righteousness and have become a child of God and joint-heir with Christ. Thank You that Your amazing plan of redemption, has paved the way for me to have an inheritance in the kingdom of God and that this imperishable body, will one day take on an imperishable one. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, what a glorious hope we have in Christ Jesus our Saviour. Thank You that He came to rescue sinners like me from death, hell, eternal condemnation, and separation from You. Thank You that Christ died to pay the price for my sin, and thank You also that He rose from the dead and conquered death and hell for all who will believe on His name. How I praise You that my salvation does not depend on what I have done, but on all that Christ has done for me, and I look forward, in holy anticipation, for the day when the dead in Christ shall be raised and we who are alive and remain will be caught up with them and be with Jesus forever. Thank You that death has been swallowed up in His victory and that I am identified with Him. Praise His holy name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your wonderful plan of redemption. Thank You that by faith in Christ, I am part of that new creation who will be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, when the last trump of God wakes the dead in Christ and we are all clothed with incorruptible bodies. Thank You that Jesus is the First-fruit from the dead and because He lives, we too shall live. Thank You that by His sacrificial death and glorious Resurrection, death is swallowed up in victory. Thanks be to God Who always gives us resurrected victory, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus! AMEN.
Heavenly Father, what a wonderful hope we have in Christ, knowing that by His death, the soul-destroying sting of sin has been removed forever and death has been triumphantly defeated and destroyed for all who are in Christ. Thank You that a day is coming when the dead in Christ will rise to life immortal with incorruptible bodies. And saints who are still alive, will also be clothed with incorruptibility and immortality. Thank You that on that day we can rejoice together, knowing death has been swallowed up in victory. Praise Your holy name! AMEN.
Loving Father, I praise and thank You for Your marvellous plan which You purposed in Christ, that the power and victory of death is swallowed up in Christ’s Resurrection victory. You are worthy of all the praise and glory. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that Jesus fulfilled the righteous requirements of the Law on my behalf. He paid the price for my sin and broke the power of sin and death in my life. All praise to His holy name, forever and ever, AMEN.
Dear Lord Jesus, we come to You in deep pain and sadness for those we know who are suffering in one way of another due to alcohol abuse. Both those that have been ensnared in their own excessive alcohol addiction and also those that are badly affected by the alcoholic abuse of someone else, a spouse, a parent, a child or a friend.
We know that You love and care for each and every addict and desire that they break free from their addiction. Remind them that Jesus died and rose again so that the power of sin and bondage to all forms of addiction might become ineffective in the life that is focused on the Lord Jesus.
We lift up all those we know who are suffering in any way, due to alcoholic abuse and addiction, especially those that we know personally, and pray that in Your grace and mercy You would do a great work in their lives, enabling those in bondage to break free of their debilitating addiction and those affected by the alcoholism of others to be kept our of harms way. May all come to a saving faith in Jesus and begin to enjoy a close walk with Him. In Jesus' name,
Amen.
Heavenly Father, what a glorious future You have purposed and planned for all who trust in Christ, as our God and Saviour. May I never doubt Your Word, but enable me to be steadfast in my daily walk, and strong in my Christian faith. Help me to be productive during my time on earth and enable me to carry out Your work and Your will, knowing that my toil is not fruitless in Christ. Thank You for the truth of the Resurrection and the knowledge that this mortal body will put on immortality, at Your appointed time. Help me to remain occupied in the work that You have prepared for me to do, to Your praise and glory. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Loving Heavenly Father, You put us into families and set a father as the leader and role model for each family, but Lord, there are many families that are being torn apart by a husband and father that has become addicted to alcohol.
Knowing the devastating nature of this disease, I pray that You would prompt each one to turn away from this evil habit to become the responsible husband and father that You desire each one to be.
Lord, we know that there are many alcoholic husbands that abuse their wives both physically and emotionally and that many children are also placed in danger due to abuse from an alcoholic father. And also Lord, we know that such drinking habits can often leave families with insufficient money to live on.
Protect all those that are vulnerable from all forms of abuse, and convict such men of the responsibilities of being loving husbands and dependable fathers. Lord, we pray that they turn from their evil ways to turn to the Lord Jesus, knowing that only in You is true freedom found.
Thank You Father. I commit all families that are in this position into Your safe-keeping. In Jesus' name,
Amen.
Heavenly Father, may I stand firm in the faith and act in a way that does not dishonour Your name. Help me to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, withstanding the wiles of the devil while being alert to his evil ways. And may all I say and do be done in love, to Your honour and glory. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Loving Father, I confess that in my own strength, it is impossible for me to carry out all that I say and do in love, but I know that it is possible in the strength and power of the Spirit of love. You have promised to pour Your love through me to others, so that I may love others as Christ loved me. Use me to be a vessel of love in the lives of all I meet today, knowing that it is Christ that loves through me and not me myself. In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word and this instructive letter to the Corinthian church. I pray that I may know You more each day and grow in grace and in a knowledge of Jesus Christ my Lord. Give me discernment I pray, so that I may not be tossed about by false teachings and I pray that the love of Christ may fill my heart and become a conduit, through which Christ's love spills out to those I meet. This I pray in Jesus' name, AMEN.
