Heavenly Father, thank You that in Your grace and wisdom Christ gave Himself for my sins and for the sin of the whole world, so that by grace through faith in Him .. all who believe might be rescued from this present evil age. Help me to not only speak the truth in love, but also to be prepared to challenge those, in love, whose Christian conduct does not line up with Scripture. This I ask in Jesus name, Amen

Healing For My Long Time Illness

Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for being with me through all the ups and downs of my life and for the many blessings that You have given me for which I praise and thank You.

Lord – You know the illness that I have been struggling with for a long time now and that there is little that seems to be able to be done by the medical profession - but Lord I believe that I am fearfully and wonderfully made and that You know every part of my body - and You know exactly why I have been ill for so long. Lord, I come to You now asking that You would work a full recovery in my body – whatever is causing this persistent problem - and I pray that You would, in Your mercy give me back the health and strength I need…

Lord if there is anything that is lacking in my diet or anything that is causing this ongoing problem within my body – I pray that You would show me so that it may be finally dealt with – Restore again my health and strength I pray and guide me along the path that You have planned for me, in Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Thank You that in Christ I am a child of the promise.. having been supernaturally born again by the Spirit. May I jealously guard my freedom in Christ and not be enticed into the legalistic practices that place us back under bondage to the Law - this I ask in Jesus name, AMEN.

“Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.”

Heavenly Father, what a blessing it is to know that we are not under bondage to sin, Satan and the Law but by grace through faith in Christ we have been set free. Thank You that I am a citizen of heaven.. and connected with the Jerusalem above - thank You in Jesus name, AMEN

“So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.”

Prayer For Alcoholic Son

Father, I thank You for the many blessings that You have graciously bestowed on me, and in such abundance, but Lord my heart aches for my son, who has become so addicted to alcohol causing his life to almost spiral out of control.

Lord I am powerless to do anything to help him and he seems so lost and in so pain and I beg You Father to intervene in his life and show us what we can do to get things under control.. help him to break free of this terrible addiction and get back some semblance of normality due to this into this heart-rending situation.

Lord I know that You have plans for my son and yet he has strayed so far from the path of Your choosing – but Father I pray that in Your grace and mercy You would show us what to do to free him from His addiction to alcohol. Give me Your strength of Your mighty power to support his through this difficult time and help him I pray to break free from his alcoholism – and to You be all the praise and glory - this I ask in Jesus name,

Amen

“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”

Heavenly Father, thank You that I have been saved by grace through faith. Keep me from adopting any legalistic practices or assuming that I have to maintain my salvation in my own strength. Thank You that I am not justified by the Law but by faith in Christ. Thank You that neither my justification nor my sanctification depends on my good works, but the good work that Christ has done on my account. I pray that I may never be so foolish or proud that I think that I have to add to Christ's finished work at Calvary. I pray that I may carry out the good work that you have prepared for me to do in the power of the Holy Spirit and not by my own efforts - this I ask in Jesus name, AMEN.

Heavenly Father, I pray that I may wait with patience and grace, as through the power of the Holy Spirit I continue to look for the any day return of the Lord Jesus and wait for the glorious 'hope of righteousness'. Help me to know You more and more with each passing day and may my life and conversation be a true reflection of the life of Christ living in me, to Your praise and glory, AMEN.

Heavenly Father, thank You that Your Word stands fast for ever and ever and that no matter what evil agendas may be used by the enemy to discredit Your name, to belittle the Person and Work of the Lord Jesus, to blind the eyes of the unsaved and to shipwreck the lives of those that have been saved by grace through faith, we pray that You would finish the good work that You have started, not only in the lives of Christians.. but in the lives of all who will one day come to a saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ - so that His name may be glorified throughout all the earth, and in Whose name we pray, AMEN.

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your written Word and the truth of the gospel. Help us to discern any false doctrine that may be seeping into the Church – or into our own heart. May we anchor our soul to the Word of God as the bed-rock of our faith, and refuse to allow legalism, liberalism or any other kind of compromised truth to seep in and ruin our witness. This we ask in Jesus name, AMEN.

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your written Word and for the simple message of salvation - that it is Your free gift of grace, through faith alone in Christ alone as written in Your precious Word. Thank You that there is nothing I need to do to to procure my salvation other than believe on the Person and Work of Lord Jesus Christ, alone. Thank You that my salvation does not rest on what I have done but on what He has done on my behalf. Keep me, I pray, looking to Jesus alone in Whose name I pray, AMEN.

Heavenly Father, Thank You that although I was dead in trespasses and sins You saved me by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Thank You that You have given me a regenerated human spirit and the power, to live my life in spirit and truth. I pray that day-by-day I may walk by means of the Spirit, and submit to His leading and guiding. Help me to listen to His voice, submit to His will, and be obedient to His correction, so that I will not succumb to the desires of the flesh but rather walk in newness of life, in His power and strength - in Jesus name I pray, AMEN.

Heavenly Father, thank You that I have been saved by grace through faith in Christ and am no longer under the law but under grace. Thank You that my old, fallen nature was crucified with Christ on the cross - and I pray that it will remain nailed to the tree, so that I may be led by the Spirit of God and walk in newness of Christ's life within. Keep me I pray from fleshly inclinations and legalistic practices that place me back in bondage to my old sin nature and the works of the flesh - but help me to live and move and have my being in You.. so that I can say as Paul did - the life that I live is not my old sin nature that lives in me but the life of Christ, living through me - in Whose name I pray, AMEN.

Prayer Of Gratitude For Love

Thank You Lord for loving me so much that You sent Your only begotten Son to die on my behalf on a cruel cross and take upon Himself my sins. Thank You that He identified with my sinfulness so that I might be identified with His righteousness, by grace through faith in Christ. How grateful I am that while I was still a lost sinner Christ died for me.

How thankful I am Lord that You searched me out and found me and brought me back into Your family, even though I was dead in my sins and at enmity with You. Praise Your holy name, for You are a good God and Your loving-kindness endures forever and I will be eternally grateful that You are my God and I am Your child.

Thank You that You are my helper and healer. Thank You that You are my refuge and strength and  thank You that You have surrounded me with people who love me dearly.. and whom I love too. Lord I do not deserve any of Your grace and goodness and yet day by day You pour new and rich mercies into my lap and cover me with Your blessings. Praise God that You are the Rock of my Salvation,

Amen

Prayer for Personal Accountability

Lord Jesus it says in Your Word, examine Yourself to see it you are in the faith – Lord I realise that this is not talking to unbelievers but to all of us who are Your children, in Christ Jesus. Lord help me to examine myself, and all that I am, and all that I am learning from You and Your word, so that I truly may say with conviction :-I know in Whom I have believed and am walking in the path on which He has placed me.

Keep me also from critical thoughts of others, and prevent me Lord, from having a spirit of control – or by pretending to hold others accountable to You when the beam in my own eye is greater than the speck that is in my brothers’ eyes.

Keep me humble before Your throng of grace and may I walk the way of the cross day be day - with the Spirit as my teacher and the Word of God washing me clean. Thank You for all my Christian friends and brothers and keep us all walking close to You in the days that lie ahead, in Jesus name I pray,

Amen
