Thank You that I have obtained the same precious faith, by grace through faith in Jesus as my Saviour. Open my understanding to all that You would teach me in Your Word and use me to encourage others in their Christian walk. Help me I pray to earnestly contend for the faith once offered to the saints - this I ask in Jesus name, AMEN.

Heavenly Father, I praise and thank You for purposing that You would redeem mankind from their sin. Thank You for sending Jesus Christ as the Son of Man, to pay the price for my transgressions. Thank You that my sin has been judged at the cross, and that I have been declared righteous in Your sight, by faith. Father, the terrible judgement of the angels, that left their first estate, and joined in a heavenly rebellion against Your holy name, is a sombre reminder of the destructive nature of sin. Thank You, that by Your grace, You purposed to redeem mankind, and to adopt all who trust in Your only begotten Son, into Your own immortal family. Keep me from minimising the destructive element of sin and its shocking, and eternal consequences, and use me to share the truth of the gospel of grace, with men and women, who are dead in their sins and bound for the lake of fire - unless they believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for their salvation and forgiveness of their sin - this I ask in Jesus name, AMEN.

Christian’s Prayer To Quit Smoking

Father I come to You in the Name of Jesus, my Saviour and I thank You that HE died to pay the price for my sins and to set me free from the power of sin and death. Lord I particularly come to You today to seek Your face on this habit of smoking - a long-time habit that I have found so difficult to break.

Lord, I know that I am not condemned because of my smoking – nevertheless it is a habit that I truly want to break and have come to You to pray that You would give me Your grace and strength to help in this time of my need..

Lord, Your word says that I can do all things through Christ Who gives me the strength and I pray that You would indeed give me the strength to completely stop smoking and also to remove the desire that I have to light up. Lord I know that my body is a temple of the Holy Spirit and do not want this habit to be a master over my body and my will – but rather I want You alone to have first place in my life and within my body.

Give me the grace I pray to enable me to stop this habit completely, and to have the desire to smoke eliminated from me – and I will give You all the praise and glory, in Jesus name I pray,

Amen
“For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.”
