Prayer for 2 Chronicles

Choose Chapter

Heavenly Father, thank You for the lessons we can learn from the life of Solomon and his judicious request for wisdom and knowledge. Give me the discernment to know Your will and to pray into all that honour Your name. Thank You that You have promised to provide all that I need for life and godliness and keep me I pray, from being enticed by the things of this world. Help me to keep the eyes of my faith on Jesus, in Whose name I pray, AMEN.

“And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:”

Heavenly Father, thank You that You are a God Who hears and answers the prayers of Your children, when they pray in faith and trust in Your never-failing faithfulness. Thank You that You are a faithful and righteous God who renders to each one of us, according to our individual ways. Keep my heart pure towards You, for You alone can read the thoughts of the heart, and the imagination of the mind. May the words of my mouth, the thoughts of my heart, the medication of my mind and the motives behind my thinking be always acceptable to You, in Jesus name I pray, AMEN.

“Then hear thou from heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and render unto every man according unto all his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou only knowest the hearts of the children of men:)”

Heavenly Father, thank You for the truth of Your word and the lessons we can learn from it. I pray that my heart may be completely Yours so that I may be increasingly conformed into the image and likeness of the Lord Jesus - to Your praise and glory, AMEN.

“For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.”
