Heavenly Father, I praise and thank You for the many truths contained in the Scripture and the many lessons You want to teach me through the epistles of Paul and the other apostles of Christ. Give me ears that are willing to hear Your voice, eyes to see what You want me to see, and a teachable heart that is open to the challenges You give me. I confess, there have been times when I have left my first love and strayed back into the ways of the world. I pray that You would search my heart and cleanse me within, and keep me walking on the road of righteousness, for His name's sake, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the amazing truth in this little verse of Scripture, that by grace through faith, we are positioned in God the Father and also in the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank You that I am safe in Your hand and that nothing in heaven above or the earth beneath, can separate me from the love of God which is mine by faith in Jesus. Thank You that I have peace with God through faith in Christ and access to the peace of God in my heart. And thank You for the lives and faithful witness of Paul, Silas, and Timothy, whose examples I can learn so much from. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, how grateful I am to have the inspired Scriptures as a mirror through which I am enabled to see the things I need to do to honour Your name. I pray that I may remain firm in the faith, grow in love, and rejoice in the blessed hope that I have in Christ. Thank You for the privilege of prayer and for the wonderful witness of Paul’s powerful praying. I pray that my intercessions and prayers may be guided by You, as I look for that glorious day when Christ comes for His Church. May we all be sanctified entirely, spirit, soul, and body, and be made complete and blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, in Whose name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the reminder I gain from the lives of the Thessalonian Christians whose work of faith, labour of love, and steadfast hope in the Lord Jesus Christ, is such a beautiful example of godly living that honours You. I pray that I may grow in grace and in a knowledge of Christ Jesus my Saviour and do all for Your greater praise and glory. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, how I praise and thank You for the wonderful truth that I was chosen in Christ from before the foundation of the world, to be one of Your elect. Thank You that everyone born of woman, has the opportunity to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved. I praise You, that You do not exclude anyone who truly turns to You for salvation, that it is not Your will that anyone should be lost, and that Your Holy Spirit continues to convict man of sin, righteousness, and judgement. May we who have been saved by grace through faith in Christ, be ready and willing to be a good testimony to all with whom we come in contact so that others may see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the inspired Word of God in the gospels and epistles, that tell of the good news of the gospel of Christ. Thank You that the Word of truth has been passed down, through generations of believers who have faithfully shared the good news. Thank You for those who shared the gospel with me, and I pray that I too would share the truth of the gospel for the benefit of others, in word, in deed, in the power of the indwelling Spirit, and for Your eternal glory. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your great and precious promises. Thank You that I have been saved by grace through faith in Christ, from the wrath to come and that one day I will be with Him in heaven. Thank You that I am not appointed to wrath, but that Christ took the full force of Your fury against my sin on the Cross of Calvary. May I never forget what it cost my Saviour to be Your sacrificial Lamb and my sin-substitute. He alone is worthy of all praise and thanksgiving. In His name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the ministry and mission of Paul and thank You for the faithful saints that have been used to bring the gospel down two thousand years of history, to me so that by grace through faith in Christ's sacrificial death and glorious resurrection, I have been born again into the family of God. Use me, I pray, just as You used Paul to tell forth the good news of the gospel, and enable me to stand firm in the faith, no matter what accusations may be made against me. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Dear Lord, thank You that I have been rescued from enslavement to sin and brought into Your heavenly kingdom and eternal glory. I pray that I may be a worthy witness of Your grace and goodness to all those with whom I come in contact today. Enable me, in the power of Your Spirit, to tread each step of my earthly walk in a manner that is well-pleasing to You. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, what rejoicing there is over one sinner who repents and turns to Christ, for the forgiveness of sin and life everlasting. How I rejoice in my great salvation and thank You, Father, for the people in my life, who faithfully shared the gospel with me, prayed for my salvation, ministered to me, and pointed me to the Lord Jesus Christ, my God, and my Saviour. I pray that I would take every opportunity to testify to the truth of the gospel to people in my life, so that they may become my "Crown of Rejoicing", and I will join the heavenly throng in casting my crown at Your feet, for You alone are worthy of all honour and praise, both now and in the ages to come. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the wake-up call that there are many ways that I can defraud someone, in thought, word, and deed. I seek to live in purity of heart and walk in spirit and in truth, for Your glory and the benefit of my neighbour. Forgive me for the times when I have not lived according to Your perfect will. Keep me from falling into sin, and may I never forget that there are consequences to all wrongdoing and that You are a God Who is the Avenger in all things. Thank You, Lord, that there is no sin so great that it cannot be forgiven. I confess before You my hidden sins, and thank You for the forgiveness of sin and life everlasting. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Oh, thank You Lord Jesus, my heavenly Vine, for the fullness of Your blessing towards me. I want to know and understand more and more of what it means to simply rest in You. May I abide in You, in sweet union with my Saviour and remain in blessed communion with You in ever closer intimacy.
Teach me, Lord, and train me to rest in Your love. Guard me and guide under the shelter of Your canopy, and reveal more and more of Yourself to me I pray,
Amen.
Heavenly Father, thank You that Jesus is my blessed Hope, that He died to pay the price for my sins, and rose again, breaking the power of sin and death in my life and the lives of all who trust in His name. Thank You that I am positioned in Christ, accepted in the Beloved, and that my citizenship is in heaven. How I praise You that I have been given eternal life and have a future hope in the Lord, and thank You, Father, that death is simply the doorway into a future life with Christ, when I will see You as You are. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Loving Father, thank you for the truth that the same almighty power of God that raised Christ from the dead, will raise up all who have fallen asleep through Jesus. Thank You that by beliving, I have eternal life in Him. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for these comforting words and the beautiful truth that we have an eternal inheritance, kept for us in heaven. Thank You that the day is fast approaching when we will put off this mortal frame and take on an immortal body, and become like You. Protect us spirit, soul, and body in this corrupt and evil world. Use us to be a witness to the lost and a comfort to the saved, and may we draw ever closer to You as we seek to do Your will, to Your praise and glory. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the wonderful truth that Jesus is coming to take us to be with Himself forever. May I prepare my heart and soul to be ready for that special day when the trump of God sounds and both the dead and living members of Your Body will receive our new, eternal bodies. I long for that day when we will all be translated into Your presence, but in the meantime, I pray that I may live and work to Your praise and glory. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Loving Father, thank You for the Word of Truth and the promise of Christ's any day return to take us to be with Himself. I pray that I will not fall into apathy or wrong thinking, but that, day by day, Jesus is the focus of my heart, as I wait in expectancy for His soon return. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word and the comfort it gives to us. Thank You that despite the turmoil the world is in, You are still in control. I pray that I may remain awake and alert, looking for that blessed day when Christ will come in the clouds to receive us unto Himself. I pray that despite the terrible Tribulation period, when Your justified wrath will be poured out on a Christ rejecting sinful world, that many would come to faith in the Lord Jesus and be redeemed out of the terrible consequences of unbelief. The Spirit and the Bride say 'come'. Maranatha - even so, come Lord Jesus! AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that Christ died to pay the price for my sin and took the full force of Your wrath against my sin on the Cross so that I might be forgiven, receive eternal life, and not be appointed to wrath. I pray that I may live my life in a manner that is pleasing to You. Keep me from temptation to sin, and guide me in the way that I should go. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that my life is hid with Christ, and that His finished work is accepted by You on my behalf. Thank You for the assurance that throughout the challenges I face in the daily and nightly round of life, You are with me and dwelling in me. Thank You that even if I am required to face physical death, Your promise remains firm, that I will one day live together with Christ in an indestructible body. Praise Your glorious name! AMEN.
Heavenly Father, what a wonderful message is contained in this beautiful passage of Scripture. Thank You that You caused Paul to teach this glorious truth so clearly and simply to the dear believers in Thessalonica. Thank You that I am a member of Christ’s Body and am not appointed to wrath, because Jesus took all the punishment that I deserve upon Himself so that I might be forgiven of my sin and not fall under Your righteous judgement. I pray that as the day for Christ’s return approaches, when He will gather His saints, both living and dead to Himself, that I will ready. Thank You that this day will not come on me like a thief in the night, as it does for the unbeliever. Thank You for telling us the end from the beginning. Help me to share this message of comfort and hope with those that are saved and those that are lost in their sin, for Your greater glory. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, praise Your holy name for all Your goodness and loving kindness to me and to all mankind. Thank You for sending Your Son to be our Kinsman-Redeemer. All praise to Your name from this day forth and forevermore. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Loving Heavenly Father, I praise and thank You for all Your loving-kindness to me. Thank You that I can come to You in prayer any moment of the day. Heavenly Father, may I grow in grace and in an attitude of thanksgiving for all that you have done for me, in Christ Jesus. Lord, I desire that Your will be done in my life. I know that it is Your will that I should give thanks in all things, and so I pray that You would develop and refine this exquisite grace of thanksgiving in me. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, instil in me a desire to know You more and to study Your Word diligently and prayerfully so that I may be approved unto God. Help me to examine all things carefully and to hold fast to all that is good, genuine, and true, as outlined in Your Word of grace. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, I pray that I may abstain from all appearance of evil, for the right reasons. May my conscience be quickened by Your righteousness, and may I feed on Your Word, by faith with thanksgiving. May I look away from myself to the beauty of Who You are and open up my heart to Your heart of love and grace, and may I devote my life to do Your will, to the glory of Your holy name. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that I am positionally sanctified in Christ and am being progressively sanctified, as I grow in grace in the power of the Spirit. I look forward to the day when the God of Peace will sanctify me entirely. May my spirit, soul, and body, be preserved complete and without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. I ask this not for me only, but for all Your children. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift and privilege of prayer. Thank You that I have confidence to come to You in prayer, not only for myself but also for others. I praise You that You hear and answer my every cry. Increase my desire to commune with You in prayer, and may I be so submitted to Your will, that Your Holy Spirit prompts the prayers I utter to be in accordance with Your perfect plan and for Your greater glory. This I ask in Jesus' name AMEN.
Loving Father, I long to walk in spirit and truth in the power of Your Holy Spirit, so that I decrease in my own importance and Christ increases in my life, to become all in all. Thank You for the glorious hope that we have in Christ Jesus that He will soon be sent from heaven to rapture His Bride into Your presence and clothe us in a glorious body that is uncorrupted and eternal. Help me to give comfort to my brothers and sisters in Christ as we look for the any-day return of the Lord Jesus to take us to be with Himself. Praise Your holy name, and come quickly, Lord Jesus! AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that we who have trusted Jesus as Saviour are not appointed to wrath, but to be rescued from the time of Tribulation that will come on an unsuspecting world as a thief in the night. May I be ready and prepared for that glorious day when Christ comes to rescue His Church, and takes us to be with Himself into heaven. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the wonderful encouragement we receive in Your written Word and the enlightenment that You have given us about these end times. May I always look for the blessed hope when Christ returns, and in the meantime, may I continue to go forth and proclaim the gospel of grace, while there is still time. I pray that many would come to faith in You due to my testimony and for Your greater praise and glory. This I pray in Jesus. name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, purify my heart by the power of Your Holy Spirit, and make me willing to submit in all things to His beautiful, refining work in my life. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You that You are the one that is going to bring me to spiritual maturity, not in my own strength, but as I yield to the chastening and refining work of Your Holy Spirit within my heart. Have Your way in my life, I pray, until I reach a spiritual maturity that measures up to the full and complete standard of Christ. Christ in me the hope of glory. Praise Your holy name, AMEN.
