Praying through Micah 1:2

Heavenly Father, thank You for this prophecy of Micah. How amazing to know that You are a God Who declares the end from the beginning - and just as biblical prophecies have been fulfilled with utmost precision in the past - I believe that all future prophecies will similarly be fulfilled, to Your praise and glory. I pray that before that great and terrible 'Day of the Lord', many would come to trust in Christ for salvation. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

“Hear, all ye people; hearken, O earth, and all that therein is: and let the Lord GOD be witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.”

Praying through Micah 4:1

Heavenly Father, how we praise Your name for Your never-failing faithfulness to Your people Israel.. and that the day is coming when they will be established forever in their own land as Your word has promised. And thank You also for the many precious promises You have also give to the Church. May we individually and collectively look to Jesus, Who has not only saved us by His sacrificial death and glorious resurrection but has called us as children of God and joint-heirs with Christ, in Whose name we pray, AMEN.

“But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.”

Praying through Micah 4:2

Heavenly Father, what a wonderful description of things to come in the Millennium, that thousand-year period when Jesus shall rule the earth with a rod of iron, the wolf will lie down with the lamb, and the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord. Thank You that as a member of the Bride of Christ, I will be given the amazing blessing and responsibility to rule and reign with Jesus. Thank You that in that day, people from many nations will stream to Jerusalem to learn the truth of the glorious gospel of God. As I look for the any-day return of Christ for His Church, I pray that You would use me to fulfil Your plans and purposes today for Your greater praise and glory. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.”

Praying through Micah 4:3

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word of truth. Lord, I see how the nations have defiantly rejected the one and only Way to peace on earth and goodwill to men. Forgive the arrogance of man and the shocking way we have sought to eliminate You from the corridors of power, turning to the worship of false gods and the elevation of self. Keep me ever looking to Jesus, low at the Cross, and broken before You. Thank You that the day is coming when Jesus will rule and reign on earth and men will hammer their weapons of war into implements of peace for the benefit of man and for Your greater praise and glory. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

“And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.”

Praying through Micah 5:2

Heavenly Father, thank You that in Your grace, You have told us the end from the beginning, for Your Word is true and Your promises stand fast forever and ever. Forgive me for the times when my faith falters and fails, or when foolish thoughts fluctuate in my mind causing unfounded doubts and fears within. Thank You that You have spoken history into being. Help me to be like the godly men of Issachar who understood the signs of the times in their day and knew the best course to take. Help me to keep my eyes on Jesus Who was born in the little town of Bethlehem and Who is my Redeemer and Saviour. I look forward with hope to that wonderful day when He comes back, and His glory will be fully revealed. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

“But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.”

Praying through Micah 5:4

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word and the truth it contains. Thank You that You have not forsaken Your people Israel, even though they rejected You. Thank You that although I was far off from You and without hope in the world, You reached down in Your goodness and grace to be my good Shepherd as well.. so that by grace through faith in Christ I have received reconciliation; redemption; the forgiveness of sin and life everlasting. Praise You holy name, AMEN.

“And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.”

Praying through Micah 6:8

Loving Lord, it is my desire to walk humbly before You all the days of my life. Thank You for sending the Lord Jesus to live a perfect life and die as the perfect sacrifice so that I could be imputed with His perfect righteousness, enabling me, in His power, to walk humbly before You. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

“He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?”

Praying through Micah 7:18

Thank You, Father, for Your unchanging love to me. Thank You for Your faithfulness to Israel and to the Church, despite the times when we have individually or collectively strayed far from You. You showed Your unconditional love for me when You sent the Lord Jesus to take the punishment for my sins. Thank You, Lord, that You delight in mercy. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
