Praying through Ephesians 1:1

Heavenly Father, as I consider the writings of Paul, the epistles of Christ’s other apostles, and the amazing truth that has been revealed, I humbly thank You for the Bible. Help me to be increasingly diligent to read it regularly and reflect on all that it contains. Give me wisdom and understanding, and keep me ever looking to Jesus. In His holy name I pray, AMEN.

Loving Lord and Heavenly Father, what love and grace that You should send Your Son to die for me. Prayer For Forgiveness After An Abortion

Heavenly Father, we lift up all those women and mothers whose hearts are aching because of their decision to have an abortion and who are now riddled with guilt, because of their choices.

We also lift up those whose freely chose to abort their babies, based on their own selfish attitude, thinking that a baby in their life would spoil the prearranged plans they had made or inhibit their desired destiny.

We pray Your mercy and forgiveness over each one and ask that in a very special way You would come alongside each woman who has made a decision to terminate their pregnancy. Meet each one at their very point of need.

Comfort those that are grieving, support those that are weak and convict those that have rejected the sacredness of a human life. Bring each one we pray, to a saving faith in the Lord Jesus, and an assurance of Your gracious forgiveness. This we ask in Jesus' name,

Amen.

“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;”

Praying through Ephesians 2:3

Heavenly Father, how I praise and thank You for Your goodness and grace toward me. I pray that I may never forget the amazing grace that I received, in that while I was yet a sinner, fulfilling the desires of my mind and flesh, Christ died for me. Thank You that You have not judged me according to my own sin, for I would not stand the scrutiny of Your perfect righteousness, but Christ was judged in my place and punished for my sin. Heavenly Father, I am filled with awe when I start to realise the unfathomable, unsearchable, incalculable, boundless riches of Christ, which I have received by grace through faith in Him. As I think back over my life, I have nothing that could commend me to You and by rights I should be condemned to eternal separation from You. By rights, I too am the worst of all sinners and am not worthy to be called Your child... and yet while I was still a sinner, Christ died for me and You searched me out and saved me. Praise Your holy name. May I live and work to Your praise and glory through time and into eternity. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

Times of Healing And Spiritual Renewal

Loving Father, I know that You often halt us in our tracks and remove us from the business of life, through an illness or a time of ill-health, so that we are forced take our eyes off the hurly-burly of life and lie on an enforced bed of sickness, in order to rediscover what are our true priorities are in life.

Father, I know that I have not spent quality time with You, as I have allowed the daily duties of life and less-important issues to crowd out my special time alone in Your presence.

Forgive me, I pray. I want to use this time of ill-health as an opportunity to get closer to You. Lead me and guide me in this time of illness, and may it become a time of spiritual as well as a period of physical rest.

Heal me Father I pray, not only in my body but also in my relationship with You. In Jesus' name,

Amen

A Channel Of Blessing To Others

Dear Lord Jesus, every good and perfect gift is a blessing from You and You have blessed me with so much. I ask that You would use me to be a blessing to others who are in need or facing difficulties.

Make me a channel of Your blessing, a channel through whom Your love and peace and joy and love flow out from You, through me to others. May I be Your hands to bless others. May You guide my feet to places where I can go and be a blessing. May my speech be seasoned with salt so that I may speak words of comfort and encouragement, and speak the truth in love. Give me the grace to be available when others are in need.

Lord, I pray that You may increase in my life and I may decrease, so that the blessings that You pour through me to others, may draw each one closer into the arms of the Lord Jesus. In His name I pray,

Amen.

Heavenly Father, thank You for our homes and families and for the wonderful way that You have designed the different roles of husbands and wives which bring glory to Your name when applied in our home situation. I lift up all Christian marriages today and pray that in Your grace, many wives may see the beauty there is in godly submission to their own husbands. And in-turn, I pray that men may reflect the great love for their own wives that Christ has for the Church, Who out of love for us, gave Himself for us. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

“Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.”

Praying through Ephesians 5:26

Thank You, Father, that I am positioned in Christ and being conformed, day by day, into the likeness of the Lord Jesus, through the power of Your Holy Spirit. I pray that You would work deeply in my life, and that I may be practically sanctified, daily cleansed, and purified with the washing of the water of the Word of God so that I may stand before You without spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

“That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,”

Heavenly Father, how I bless Your holy name for the transforming work that You are doing in my life. I pray that I would be washed daily with the cleansing water of the Word of God so that I may be presented to You without spot or wrinkle but be made holy and blameless to Your praise and glory. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

“That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.”

Praying through Ephesians 5:30

Heavenly Father, how I praise and thank You that by faith in Christ’s death, burial, and Resurrection, I have become bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh. Please use me as a witness, a testimony, and a minister of reconciliation, to a lost and dying world. Help me to honour You in all I say and do. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

“For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.”

Praying through Ephesians 5:32

Heavenly Father, thank You for revealing this wonderful mystery to me, that my relationship with the Lord Jesus is as special and intimate as that between a husband and his wife. May we all who are His Body and Bride, live together in the unity of the Spirit, in a bond of peace, and to the honour of His holy name. He gave His life because of His love of the Church. May we all reflect that love to those around us. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

“This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.”

Thank You for providing me with the means to live a victorious life in Christ, through the Word of God, prayer and praise, and by abiding in Christ and He in me. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

As I live out my life, I pray that I may walk in integrity, speak the truth in love, and be continuously clothed in Christ's own righteousness - so that I may stand in the evil day, and having done all to hear You say, "well done, good and faithful soldier," to Your praise and glory, AMEN.

Praying through Ephesians 6:16

Heavenly Father, thank You that You have fully equipped us to overcome the world, the flesh, and the devil, with such wonderful pieces of spiritual armour. Thank You for the Shield-of-Faith, with which I am enabled to extinguish all the flaming arrows and fiery darts of the evil one. Help me to stand fast on the promises of God and to keep my eyes looking to Jesus. Thank You that I have not only been saved by grace through faith in Him, but that in the power of the Holy Spirit I may live by grace through faith.
