Heavenly Father, how I praise and thank You for Your amazing wisdom and grace. Thank You that I am part of that one Body... and that by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus, I was baptised by the Holy Spirit into His Body the moment I first believed. I pray that I may stand firm in the faith and trust Your Word which was given to us by inspiration of God through the pens of Your holy apostles and prophets. Keep me looking to Jesus - the Author and Finisher of that faith and in Whose name I pray, AMEN.

Heavenly Father, the more I understand Your Word, the more You graciously open up my understanding to new and exciting truths. Help me to grow in grace and give me a teachable spirit and the opportunity to learn more of You. Thank You that Jesus came down from heaven to be my Saviour and ascended back to glory in triumph after defeating Satan, sin, death, and hell, by His sacrificial death and glorious Resurrection. Thank You that my salvation does not depend on what I do but on what Christ has done on my account. Thank You, Lord. This I pray in Jesus' name, AMEN.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the wonderful way that You have protected Your Word through the foundation of the apostles and prophets, where Christ Himself is the chief Cornerstone. Thank You also, for those that are called to be evangelists and pastor-teachers. I pray that You would equip each one for the service to which they are called, and may their lives and ministries bring glory to You. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

Praying through Ephesians 4:12

Heavenly Father, thank You for the apostles and prophets who established the foundations of our faith in those early years of the Church, and wrote the principles and practices of Christianity in New Testament Scriptures. Thank You for the men and women, the pastors and preachers, the teachers and evangelists, and the faithful members of Your body, who taught me the truth, and helped to establish my faith, after I placed my trust in Christ. Help me to use my own spiritual gift for the equipping of the saints and to forward Your plan for my life. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

Praying through Ephesians 4:15

Heavenly Father, I am aware that there are many in the Church that are abusing the precious gifts of the Spirit and distorting the Word of truth. Help me to study to show myself approved unto God and work the works of God in my life for the edification of the Body of Christ and for the greater glory of the Lord Jesus Himself. To Him be all honour and glory, might, majesty, dominion, and power, forever and ever, AMEN.

Praying through Ephesians 4:19

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your amazing goodness and grace, when You stooped down in Your mercy and kindness, to rescue me from eternal separation from You and from becoming ever more entrenched in the callous sensuality, impurity, and greed, that has saturated the sin nature of fallen humanity. Thank You that in Christ, I am part of a new creation and have passed from darkness to light. Thank You that I have been positioned in Christ and am seated together with Him in heavenly places. Times of Healing And Spiritual Renewal

Loving Father, I know that You often halt us in our tracks and remove us from the business of life, through an illness or a time of ill-health, so that we are forced take our eyes off the hurly-burly of life and lie on an enforced bed of sickness, in order to rediscover what are our true priorities are in life.

Father, I know that I have not spent quality time with You, as I have allowed the daily duties of life and less-important issues to crowd out my special time alone in Your presence.

Forgive me, I pray. I want to use this time of ill-health as an opportunity to get closer to You. Lead me and guide me in this time of illness, and may it become a time of spiritual as well as a period of physical rest.

Heal me Father I pray, not only in my body but also in my relationship with You. In Jesus' name,

Amen

“And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;”

Praying through Ephesians 4:24

Heavenly Father, thank You that by believing on Christ, I have been made a new creation and that my new life has been created in Your likeness. Lord, I know that I have been created in righteousness and holiness, and pray that You would help me to walk in spirit and truth. Help me to put off all my former ways of life which would quench the working of Your Spirit within. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

Praying through Ephesians 4:26

Heavenly Father, thank You for Paul's simple, but important teaching on anger issues. I pray that I may be ready and willing to express anger against sin and the things that grieve Your heart, in a godly and righteous way that honours Your name. May I also recognise any fleshly emotions which motivate me toward unrighteous anger. May I never give the enemy a foothold in my life, either directly, through fleshly anger, or indirectly, by allowing legitimate, righteous anger to deteriorate into a self-righteous attitude. Give me wisdom, I pray, and a discerning heart to know when to be angry without sinning so that the testimony I present may be for Your honour and glory. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:”

Praying through Ephesians 4:27

Heavenly Father, thank You for the many privileges that are mine in Christ Jesus and that in Him I have all that I need for life and godliness. Help me take responsibility for living my life in a way that honours You. As I walk by the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit, may the devil have no opportunity to deceive me with His lies and cause my testimony to be shipwrecked. Help me to remain in Christ, moment by moment, taking every thought captive to Him and walking in spirit and truth for Your greater glory. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

Praying through Ephesians 4:28

Heavenly Father, as I read through the many instructions on godly living and Christlike behaviour, I recognise that it is not a superficial change in my outward behaviour that is important, but an inner change in the deep recesses of my being, a change of character that reflects the life of Christ within. Forgive me for the times I have stolen from others, whether it be in goods, motive, reputation, or in some other more subtle way. I pray that in thought, word, and deed, my actions and attitude would be pure and noble and would honour Your holy name. Bestow on me a generous spirit so I may be cheerful in my giving and compassionate in my heart toward others. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.”

A Channel Of Blessing To Others

Dear Lord Jesus, every good and perfect gift is a blessing from You and You have blessed me with so much. I ask that You would use me to be a blessing to others who are in need or facing difficulties.

Make me a channel of Your blessing, a channel through whom Your love and peace and joy and love flow out from You, through me to others. May I be Your hands to bless others. May You guide my feet to places where I can go and be a blessing. May my speech be seasoned with salt so that I may speak words of comfort and encouragement, and speak the truth in love. Give me the grace to be available when others are in need.

Lord, I pray that You may increase in my life and I may decrease, so that the blessings that You pour through me to others, may draw each one closer into the arms of the Lord Jesus. In His name I pray,

Amen.

“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.”
