Prayer for Ephesians 3

Praying through Ephesians 3:1

Heavenly Father, thank You that you purposed in Your heart to send the Lord Jesus as the sin-sacrifice for the world, and that Jew and Gentile alike can be saved by grace through faith in Him. Thank You that Paul was Your chosen apostle to the Gentiles and that he was ready and willing to be a prisoner of Christ, and to suffer for Him, so that the gospel would spread throughout the world. Thank You for my great salvation, and may I be ready and willing to suffer for His dear name's sake, and bring many into Your kingdom, I pray. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

Praying through Ephesians 3:2

Heavenly Father, thank You for the ministry of Paul and the good news of the gospel of grace. May I read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest, all that is written for my learning in his inspired epistles. May I rightly divide the Word of truth, in this dispensation of grace, studying to show myself approved unto God. Help me not to be tossed about by every wind of alternative doctrine. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

Praying through Ephesians 3:8

Heavenly Father, I am filled with awe when I start to realise the unfathomable, unsearchable, incalculable, boundless riches of Christ, which I have received by grace through faith in Him. As I think back over my life, I have nothing that could commend me to You and by rights I should be condemned to eternal separation from You. By rights, I too am the worst of all sinners and am not worthy to be called Your child... and yet while I was still a sinner, Christ died for me and You searched me out and saved me. Praise Your holy name. May I live and work to Your praise and glory through time and into eternity. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

“Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;”

May I fulfil my calling and the work that You have prepared for me to do, and I pray that I may show forth Your manifold wisdom to principalities and powers, not only in this world but also in the ages to come. Thank You, in Jesus' name. AMEN.

Heavenly Father, what a glorious plan of redemption and what manifold wisdom - that Your plan of salvation should be kept hidden from the enemy of our soul so that he was unable to interfere with the triumph of the Cross, the glory of the Resurrection, and the mystery of the indwelling Holy Spirit within the Christian Church, which is the eternal Body of Christ. Thank You that I am part of that redeemed company who, in the ages to come, will show forth Your immeasurable glory and over-abounding grace, to Your praise and glory.
