Prayer Of Gratitude For All Of God’s Gifts

Oh Lord our God what a joy it is to open my eyes in the morning and to remember all of Your loving-kindness towards us all - and for the many gifts and graces that we enjoy day by day.

Thank You for shelter from the cold and for the rest and refreshment that is gained with a good nights sleep. Thank You for the joy of opening my eyes to a fresh day, where Your mercies are new every morning – what a wonderful and faithful God You are.

Thank You for my health and my home. Thank You for my family and my friends. Thank You for the many good gifts that You have been pleased to bestow on all Your children. Oh, thank You that You are my Father and that Christ Jesus is my Saviour –and thank You Lord, that I have the indwelling Holy Spirit to lead and to guide – to comfort and help - for I am never alone because You are ever by my side… Praise Your holy name for all the good gifts that You have graciously given me, in such rich abundance -in Jesus name I pray,

Amen

It was God Who began this amazing work of grace in the soul of each believer. He knew each one of us before we were formed in our mother’s womb and He scheduled each day of our lives. And it is the same God that will perfect and complete the good work that He began – to our eternal benefit and to His eternal praise. AMEN.

Heavenly Father, in a world where the truth of the gospel is despised by the masses and the grace of God has been rejected in this humanistic society, help us.. like Paul, to keep our brothers and sisters in remembrance, and to lift them up prayer and thanksgiving, knowing that we are all one in Christ, and partakers of the glorious gospel of grace, in Jesus name I pray, AMEN

Prayer Of Gratitude For Love

Thank You Lord for loving me so much that You sent Your only begotten Son to die on my behalf on a cruel cross and take upon Himself my sins. Thank You that He identified with my sinfulness so that I might be identified with His righteousness, by grace through faith in Christ. How grateful I am that while I was still a lost sinner Christ died for me.

How thankful I am Lord that You searched me out and found me and brought me back into Your family, even though I was dead in my sins and at enmity with You. Praise Your holy name, for You are a good God and Your loving-kindness endures forever and I will be eternally grateful that You are my God and I am Your child.

Thank You that You are my helper and healer. Thank You that You are my refuge and strength and  thank You that You have surrounded me with people who love me dearly.. and whom I love too. Lord I do not deserve any of Your grace and goodness and yet day by day You pour new and rich mercies into my lap and cover me with Your blessings. Praise God that You are the Rock of my Salvation,

Amen

“And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;”

Heavenly Father, I pray that I may set aside my own self life and live in true fellowship of the gospel with my brothers and sisters in Christ. Help me to discover that inner holy joy that comes from holding all the saints of God in my loving thoughts and lifting them up in prayer within my heart. May my love for all believers in Christ overspill into earnest prayer for them all - that together we may learn to approve that which is good and excellent, so that in sincerity and truth we may grow in grace and live blamelessly before You, until the return of Christ, when we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. This I ask in Jesus precious name, AMEN.

Purity Prayer To Reflect The Love of God

Thank You Father God that I have been made clean through the blood of my Saviour Jesus Christ. Thank You that my sins have been washed away forever, and I pray that as I live the Christian life I may be continuously cleansed through the washing of the Word of God – for Your Word is pure and wholesome – Your Word is light and life.. Sanctify me by Your Word of grace I pray.

Help me to look deeply into Your Word of truth, knowing that the more that I am washed and cleansed by the written Word of God, the more I will come to see the lovely face of the living Word of God- my beautiful Saviour - Jesus Christ my Lord

I pray that my heart and mind may be purified daily but the cleansing flood that comes from You and I pray that rivers of living water may flow from You through me to others – so that I may reflect the love of God in my life and point others to Christ. May the face of Jesus my Saviour be the only thing that others see in me – for I must decrease so that He may increase – I ask this in Jesus name

Amen

“Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;”
(Philippians 1:27)
Category: Prayer for Purity

Heavenly Father, it is a sobering thought to know that those who reject the glorious gospel of Christ, bring judgement down on their own heads.. and those that willfully oppose Your purpose and plan, are under Your eternal condemnation.. because they have not trusted in the One Person, Who alone, has power over death - and in Whom are the words of eternal life. Use me as a witness, that points others to Christ, and I pray that I may decrease, so that He may increase, until it is not I that live, but Christ that lives in me. This I ask in His precious name, AMEN.

Heavenly Father, how I praise and thank You that I have been called out of darkness into Your glorious light, by faith in Christ's finished work on Calvary, which alone paid for my sins. But thank You that as part of Christ's Body I am given the privilege of suffering for Your sake, as I travel through a world that is hostile to Your grace and shows contempt for the precious sacrifice of Your dearly beloved Son, our Saviour, Jesus Christ. May I rejoice in the trials I am called upon to face in this fleeting life, knowing that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory, which will be one day be revealed in me. Praise His holy name, AMEN.

Thank You for Your grace and Your compassion and the gift of the indwelling Holy Spirit. Thank that that I am accepted in Christ and part of that heavenly company that has received life eternal by faith in Christ. Prayer Of Gratitude For Volunteers

Father we offer our grateful thanks and praise for the army of volunteers that quietly yet faithfully offer their services for the wellbeing and support of others.

We ask Your special blessing on each one, knowing that they are the unsung heroes that receive little thanks for their valuable contribution and who are so often taken for granted by those that they freely serve.

Provide for the needs of each one and protect them from those that might intentionally or unwittingly exploit their generous nature - this we ask in Jesus name,

Amen

Prayer For The Recovery Of A Friend

Dear God, You are the giver of life and health and You are the healer of the sick and the suffering – we pray for a dear friend who is in distress with ill-health today and pray that You would help them to come to a full recovery and restore them to wholeness, health and strength.

Lord I do ask that You would meet my friend at their point of need – not only in their physical suffering but also in their spiritual sickness. Lord my dear friend not only needs recovery of their physical health but recovery of their spiritual lack and the emotional pain - that seems to be making their physical problem so much worse.

Administer all Your gifts of health and healing for body and mind I pray and multiply Your blessings and grace towards them so that they may be fully restored and come to a deeper knowledge and understanding of You, in Jesus name,

Amen

Thank You that He died for me.. so that by grace through faith in Christ I am now a child of God and have been given an eternal inheritance in Him. Help me to say without hesitation that whatever things there are in my life that I gained - I counted them all as loss for the sake of Christ Jesus my Lord, AMEN

Father God, thank You for Christ Jesus. I thank You for the many benefits that you have bestowed on me in this life – but I pray that nothing will ever eclipse my position in Christ and pray that like Paul – whatever gain I have I may count as loss for the sake of Christ Jesus my Lord, in Whose name I pray, AMEN.

Heavenly Father, I pray that my desire to know Christ may continue to grow and expand until like Paul I am able to consider that the loss of those things that I value and hold dear in life, as rubbish to me, in order that I may gain Christ, in Whose name I plead, AMEN.

“Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,”

Father I long to know Christ more and to know the power of His resurrected life in me. I pray that I may partake of all the sufferings in my life in obedient submission to Your Spirit and that day by day I may be increasingly conformed into the image and likeness of the Lord Jesus, in Whose name I pray, AMEN.

Heavenly Father, I pray that in thought, word and deed, I may strive to live godly in Christ Jesus to Your praise and glory. I pray that in Your grace and power I may make every effort to finish the race that is set before me. I pray that like Paul, I may strive to attain to the resurrection - (the EX-anastasin) of the dead, as I press towards to goal of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus, my Saviour - to His praise and glory. This I ask in His name, AMEN.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the example of Paul, who pressed on for the upward call of God in Christ Jesus, and was prepared to fellowship in the suffering of his Saviour. Thank You that Your grace is sufficient, no matter what suffering we may have to face. Prepare our hearts and minds, we pray, to walk in the ways of God, all the days of our life - for His praise and glory. In Jesus name we pray, AMEN.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the godly example of the apostle Paul.. and I pray that I too may live my life to the standard of holiness to which I have attained, in Christ. But more than that I thank You for Jesus, and for sending Him to be my sacrifice for sin. Lord I want to offer my life as a living sacrifice that is honouring to Your name. Help me to live.. and if necessary to die to Your praise and glory - this I ask in Jesus name, AMEN.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the life and ministry of the apostle Paul. Thank You for the example he set of Christ-likeness, through self-sacrifice - holy and acceptable to You. My heart-cry, is to know You more intimately, to love You more deeply and to follow You more closely.. no matter what the cost. May I know the power of Your resurrected life, and be willing to fellowship in Christ's suffering, for His name's sake. May I present my life to You as a holy and living sacrifice.. this I ask in Jesus name, AMEN.

Heavenly Father, how easy it is for the old sin nature to influence our thinking, and cause any one of us to become enemies of the cross, when through self-righteousness or pride we try to do things in our own strength, rather than dying to self and living our new life in Christ. Keep me from falling into the old, fleshly ways, and may I learn to walk in spirit and truth, to Your praise and glory. Prevent me from falling into any self-righteous or legalistic thinking, and keep me resting in Christ and submitted to the Holy Spirit of truth - in Jesus name I pray, AMEN.

Prayer For Thos in Hospital

Heavenly Father we bring to You the many people that have found themselves in hospital and pray that in a wonderful way You would minister to them through the doctors and nurses and all those that are there to help them in their recovery.

Lord we pray that You would use this time in hospital to reach deep into the hearts of each these people and help them to realise how fragile their lives are - and to cause them to consciously search for You with their hearts.

Lord we pray that as healing and health comes to their bodies that spiritual healing and wholeness would come to their souls – and that the time they have spent in hospital would become a spiritual wake-up call – so that they re-evaluate their lives and realise their need of Jesus as their Saviour - and accept Christ as their Redeemer and King – in Whose name we pray,

Amen.
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”

Heavenly Father, keep me I pray from anxious thoughts. Help me to garrison my thought-life on all that is commendable and good and help me to keep the eyes of my heart fixed on Jesus. Help me to make a conscious choice to dwell on those things that are worthy of praise, knowing that the light of Christ and the darkness of all that is evil cannot abide together. This I ask in Jesus name, AMEN.
