Prayer for Galatians 3

Heavenly Father, thank You that Jesus took the full punishment for my sins on the cross, and that my salvation is not based on the good things that I do to please You, but on the good work that Christ did on the cross on my behalf - which satisfies You. Keep me from trying to add to Christ's finished work on the cross, but may I live my life in a manner that is pleasing to You.. as I die to self and live for HIM, in Whose name I pray, AMEN.

“O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?”

Heavenly Father, thank You that I have been saved by grace through faith in Christ. Keep me from trying to live my life by keeping laws - for I know that without Your life within I can do nothing.. I cannot keep laws in my own strength - but praise God that as I am empowered by Your Holy Spirit, I may live godly in Christ Jesus - this I ask in Jesus name, AMEN.

“This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?”

Heavenly Father, thank You that my salvation does not depend on what I do but on what Christ has done on my account. Thank You that I have been given new life in Christ, by faith. May I live that life to Your praise and glory. Keep me from attempting to do the work that only the indwelling Holy Spirit can achieve. May I grow in grace and mature in the faith, as I die to my own ego and live for Christ alone.

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your goodness and grace towards the children of men. Thank You that my salvation is by grace, through faith in HIM. AMEN.

Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.”

Thank You my Father, for the wonderful Scriptures and for revealing to sinful man.. the end from the beginning – and all that makes for our eternal salvation.  Help me to appreciate Your Word for what it truly is, a love-letter from beyond time and space, from You to me, with love . Thank You that all I had to do to receive Your blessing of salvation, the forgiveness of sin and life everlasting, was to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank You – and in His name I pray, AMEN.
