Prayer for Galatians 3

Praying through Galatians 3:1

Heavenly Father, thank You that Jesus took the full punishment for my sins on the Cross. I am so thankful that my salvation is not based on the good things that I do to please You, but on the good work that Christ did on the Cross on my behalf. Keep me from trying to add to Christ's finished work on the Cross, but may I live my life in a manner that is pleasing to You, as I die to self and live for Christ. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

“O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?”

Praying through Galatians 3:2

Heavenly Father, thank You that I have been saved by grace through faith in Christ. Keep me from trying to live my life by keeping laws. I know that without Your life within I can do nothing, but praise God that as I am empowered by Your Holy Spirit, I may live godly in Christ Jesus. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

“This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?”

Praying through Galatians 3:3

Heavenly Father, thank You that my salvation does not depend on what I do but on what Christ has done on my account. Thank You that I have been given new life in Christ, by faith. May I live that life to Your praise and glory. Keep me from attempting to do the work that only the indwelling Holy Spirit can achieve. May I grow in grace and mature in the faith, as I die to my own ego and live for Christ alone. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

“Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?”

Heavenly Father, thank You that in Your love, You convicted me of sin, pursued me with Your love, saved me by grace through faith in Christ, and brought me into the family of God. Praying through Galatians 3:10

Heavenly Father, thank You that I am saved by grace through faith. Help me also to live by grace through faith and not by works of the Law carried out though my own merit. Help me to live as You intended man to live, in utter dependence upon the Lord Jesus, in the same way that He lived His life in utter dependence upon You. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

Praying through Galatians 3:11

Heavenly Father, thank You for showing me that I needed a Saviour. Thank You for opening up my proud heart to the understanding that there is nobody who is good, not even one, other than Christ Who died and rose again so that I might be justified by grace through faith in Him. Help me to live my whole life by grace through faith in Christ Jesus my Lord. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

“But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.”

Praying through Galatians 3:12

Heavenly Father, I know that I am unable to achieve the righteous standard that You require of me. I see that Christ is the only one Who has ever lived according to Your perfect and holy requirements. Thank You that by grace through faith, You have imputed me with His righteousness and graciously given me all I need to live as You require of me. Help me to live in Christ, Who has become for me wisdom, righteousness, holiness, and redemption. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

Praying through Galatians 3:13

Heavenly Father, thank You that Christ redeemed me from the curse of the Law by hanging on the Tree at Calvary. My Saviour Who knew no sin, became sin for me so that in Him I might be made righteous. I may never understand the enormity of what Jesus did, but I will give Him all the honour and glory, might and majesty, power, and praise, both now and in the eternal ages to come. AMEN.

“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:”

Praying through Galatians 3:16

Heavenly Father, thank You that in Christ, the promise given to Abraham has been realised, and that in Christ, both Jew and Gentile, young and old, male and female, bond and free, are blessed through Him, for He took upon Himself the sins of the whole world so that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. To Him be all praise and glory, forever and ever, AMEN.

“Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.”

Praying through Galatians 3:19

Heavenly Father, thank You that Christ was placed under the sentence of death that the Law required on my account. And thank You that He also died unto sin so that I am released from the judicial sentence that the Law has passed on me. In Christ I am dead to sin and dead to the Law, and in Him I have been raised into newness of life and clothed in His righteousness. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

“Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.”

Praying through Galatians 3:21

Heavenly Father, thank You that Your perfect plan of redemption does not contain any contradictions, but works together for the good of mankind. Thank You that my sin was exposed through the Law, and though the Law couldn’t save me in and of itself, it pointed me to my need for a Saviour. You then provided a perfect Saviour in the Lord Jesus Christ Who paid the penalty for my sin through His death, burial, and Resurrection. Thank You that my salvation is by grace through faith in Him. AMEN.

Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.”

Praying through Galatians 3:22

Thank You, Father, for the wonderful Scriptures and for revealing to sinful man the end from the beginning, and all that makes for our eternal salvation. Help me to appreciate Your Word for what it truly is, a love letter from beyond time and space, from You to me. Thank You that all I had to do to receive Your blessing of salvation, the forgiveness of sin and life everlasting, was to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank You, and in His name I pray, AMEN.

“But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.”

Praying through Galatians 3:24

Heavenly Father, thank You that through the Law, You convicted me of my guilt as a sinner and my need of a Saviour. Thank You that I am no longer condemned by the Law, knowing that Christ took the punishment that I deserve. What amazing love You have for me, that instead of giving me what I deserve, You have given me eternal riches and over-abounding grace. Praise Your holy name. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

Praying through Galatians 3:25

Heavenly Father, how I praise and thank You that in Your wisdom, You planned that the Law would be used as a tool to bring me to faith in Christ. Thank You that His death and Resurrection have redeemed me from the curse of the Law and rescued me from its terrible consequences. Thank You that the Lord Jesus Christ was willing to become a curse on my account so that in Him, I might be made the righteousness of God. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

“But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.”

Praying through Galatians 3:26

Heavenly Father, what abundant grace and abounding mercy has been extended to me, who was once a child of Satan, at enmity with God and bound for hell. But in Your grace, You reached down to my sin-soaked lowliness, raised me up from the miry pit and placed my feet on Christ, the Rock of my salvation. Thank You that by faith in Him, I might be called a child of God. Praise Your holy name, AMEN.

Heavenly Father, thank You that all believers have been united together with Christ and identified with Him through the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the moment we first believed. Thank You that He is our Comforter and Councillor Who has bestowed on us eternal blessings of grace. Thank You that as members of Christ’s Body, we have the peace of God in our hearts, the life of Christ in our souls, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit to guide us into all truth. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

Praying through Galatians 3:29

Heavenly Father, thank You that I belong to Christ by faith and that I am a spiritual descendent of Abraham. Thank You that by faith in Christ I have been made an heir, according to the promise. Thank You that I have been saved by grace and am justified in the sight of God by faith, and thank You that I have an incorruptible and undefiled inheritance that will not fade away which is reserved for me in Heaven. Thank You, in Jesus' name, AMEN.
