Prayer for Galatians 6

Praying through Galatians 6:1

Heavenly Father, I pray that I may grow in grace and live my life as You would have me live - in spirit and in truth. Help me to be kind, compassionate, hospitable and gracious towards my brothers and sisters in Christ. May I love others in the same way that Christ loved me and gave Himself for me. Help me to exhibit a spirit of forgiveness and grace - honouring others above myself. Give me a spirit of gentleness and love in my dealings with others.. especially those that are straying from the path of righteousness and keep me ever humble before You.. lest I am tempted to sin and so dishonour Your holy name - this I ask in Jesus name, AMEN.

“Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.”

Praying through Galatians 6:2

Heavenly Father, thank You for the many lessons I am learning and the importance of becoming a spiritual Christian and fulfilling the law of Christ by abiding in Him and submitting to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. May I grow in grace and wisdom, humility and gentleness, so that in the power of the Holy Spirit I may be spiritually enabled to support the weak, help the afflicted, bear the burdens of my brothers and sisters in Christ, restore those that have been tempted into sin, and thus fulfil the Christ-like law of godly love to Your praise and glory. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”

Praying through Galatians 6:5

Heavenly Father, thank You for the book of Hebrews and the many lessons that it contains. Thank You that in Christ I am a new creature and that by faith in Him I have become a child of God. I pray that I may be a good steward of the work that You have given me to do, and that I remain low at the cross and broken before You, knowing that I must one day stand before the judgement seat of Christ. Give me the wisdom and strength I need, to give encouragement to my brothers and sisters, when they fall, but help me to do so without hypercritical judgement, and may I live the rest of my life in a manner that honours Your holy name - this I ask in Jesus name, AMEN.

“For every man shall bear his own burden.”

Praying through Galatians 6:6

Heavenly Father, thank You that we are not islands, but members of Christ’s body and part of the universal Christian Church. May we go out and share the good news of the gospel of grace, and give freely of our time, talent, money and knowledge – knowing that we too have been blessed by those who have taught us… may we also be a blessing to those with whom we come in contact – this I ask in Jesus name. AMEN.

“Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.”

Praying through Galatians 6:7

Heavenly Father, thank You for this principle of sowing and reaping and I pray that I may develop a giving heart and a generous spirit so that all I say, brings honour to Your name, and all I do is done for the glory of God and for the good of others This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”

Praying through Galatians 6:8

Heavenly Father, thank You that I am part of the new creation in Christ and have been freed from the ravages of sin, death, and hell, by faith in the shed blood of Christ on Calvary. Father, I want to live my life in spirit and truth and keep the old sin nature out of commission and nailed to the Cross. Help me to honestly recognise any fleshly tendencies to which I may cling and keep me, I pray, from sowing to my flesh. Rather, I ask that in the power of the Holy Spirit, I may sow to the Spirit and live my life in humble submission unto the Lord for His praise and glory. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

“For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.”

Praying through Galatians 6:9

Loving Father I thank You that I am Your child and I want to press on, in my Christian life, to become more and more like the Lord Jesus – but I know that it will require me to put my hand to the plough and press on with patient endurance – which only comes from You alone. I pray that I may not lose heart or grow weary in doing the good works that You have prepared for me to do, and pray that in due time, I may reap a fruitful reward, in Jesus name I pray, AMEN.

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Praying through Galatians 6:14

Loving Father Thank You that Christ work is complete, and I do not have to keep the Law to please you – simply trust in Him as Saviour, thank You in Christ’s name I pray, AMEN.

“But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.”

Praying through Galatians 6:15

Heavenly Father, thank You for the wonderful way that You gradually opened-up our understanding through the Old and New Testament Scriptures, to teach us that we are all sinners in need of a Saviour, and we are justified by faith. Thank You that You have broken down the barrier between Jew and Gentile and that that by grace through faith in Christ, we are new, redeemed creatures, and part of the one new-man in Him. May I live my life to Your praise and glory. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

“For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.”

Praying through Galatians 6:16

Heavenly Father, the more I study Your word, the more You open up the truth to my understanding. Thank You that I am part of the body of Christ and thank You for the nation of Israel, through whom was born the Lord Jesus – my God and My Saviour. We pray that many of those Jews, who have been blinded in part and have remained dead in their sins, would trust in Christ as their Messiah and Lord, and become a member of Christ’s Body, and part of the true ‘Israel of God” – we ask this in Jesus name, AMEN.

“And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.”
