Prayer For Christian Brothers And Sisters

Dear God – the only source of healing and hope and the one fountain of peace and hope – look down in pity and mercy on Your many children who are facing adversity and afflicted by the miseries that this world system is imposing.

Provide for the needs for all those that are called by Your name, who are facing financial hardships and health problems. Enrich them with Your heavenly hope; nourish them with all Your goodness and bring each of them safely into their promised home ,

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

“And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.”

Heavenly Father, there is so much to learn from the corrective instructions in Paul’s letter to the Corinthians. Prevent me from falling into the trap of elevating myself or others in the body of Christ. Develop in me a teachable spirit and may we all learn the value of living in unity of sprit for the glory of God and the praise of our Saviour, Jesus Christ our Lord, in Whose name I pray, AMEN.

“For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?”

Loving Father, thank You for the privilege of being used in the world to be a witness of the Lord Jesus Christ and to do the work that You have already prepared for me to do. Root out all that is of Me and replace it with the sweet nature of the Lord Jesus as I carry out the work that You have prepared for me to do, in the power of the Holy Spirit - in Jesus name I pray, AMEN.

Heavenly Father, how we bless and thank You for Your amazing plan of salvation. Thank You that Your dearly loved Son laid aside His glory to become a man - so that He could give up His sinless life and bring many sons into glory - by faith in Him. Thank You that Jesus is the Rock of my salvation, and the Foundation Stone upon which my faith is founded. Keep me looking to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith - in Whose name I pray, AMEN.

Heavenly Father, teach me I pray to walk in spirit and truth and to live as a spiritual man and not as a carnal Christian. Teach me to live my life as unto You.. May my self-life remain nailed to the cross and may my new-life in Christ do only those things that are honouring to Your name - to Your praise and glory, in Jesus name I pray, AMEN.

Purity Prayer - To Flee Fornication

Dear Lord God, I seek a true inner purity that only comes from You and I come to You, knowing that I stand unclean, impure and wretched before Your perfect throne of purity and truth. Lord I ask Your forgiveness for the way that I have not honoured You with my body – knowing that I have engaged in many impure acts and unchaste thoughts. I confess that I am unworthy to even kneel before Your perfect presence – and yet I now understand that Christ died to pay the price for all my sins and all my impurities. Thank You that by believing in Jesus, Who died to pay the price for all my sins, You have washed me clean from every dishonouring act. Thank You Father.

Help me Lord to flee fornication and all the accompanying evils that flow from illicit sexual relationships and unclean thoughts – knowing that my body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, Who dwells in me and lives within my heart. Help me to keep my outward actions and inner thoughts pure before Your eyes – whether I am in the public view or hid in a secret place, and away from the gaze of the world’s eye.

Purify the eyes of my heart and help me to keep the focus of my mind on the Lord Jesus - and develop in me I pray, thoughts, words, deeds and motives that are pure in Your sight and that will honour Your Holy name, in Jesus name I pray,

Amen

“If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.”

Heavenly Father, forgive us for the times we have fallen into the trap of carnality and worldly thinking. I pray that I may keep the eyes of my consciousness upon the Lord Jesus and keep me from allowing the mind-set of the world to infiltrate my heart and affect my witness. I pray that I may develop spiritual wisdom before You and be equipped to forward the good news of the gospel of Christ in a mature manner, that does not engage in unnecessary squabbling or petty differences, but is ready to give an instructive answer for the hope I have in Christ. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.”

Loving Father, how I thank You that I have all be given all spiritual riches to richly enjoy. Thank You for equipping me in the ministry that You have given to me. May my eyes look to Jesus, and not to the one that has instructed me about Jesus, for He alone is worthy of praise, in His name I pray, AMEN.
