Praying through 1 Corinthians 9:9

Heavenly Father, thank You for this important teaching on financial giving and for showing me the responsibility we all have in supporting those who share the gospel of Christ. Thank You for the ministers and ministries that have helped me in my Christian walk. I pray that You would provide all that they need to continue the good work they are doing in sharing the gospel, and may I be wise and generous in my support, for Your name’s sake and for Your greater glory. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen?”

Praying through 1 Corinthians 9:16

Heavenly Father, thank You for sending the Lord Jesus to be the sacrifice for sin, and for the many privileges that accompany my great salvation. Thank You that salvation is free to all and comes without cost. I pray that I would feel constrained to carry out the good work that You have prepared for me to do and tell others the good news that Christ died for their sin and rose again so that by faith in Him, they too might have forgiveness of sin and life everlasting This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!”

Praying through 1 Corinthians 9:22

Heavenly Father, how wonderful to know that there is no one who is excluded from Your offer of salvation, for whosoever will, may come to faith in Christ and be saved through His redeeming blood. I pray that You would give me opportunities to share the good news of the gospel of Christ to people in my corner of the world, and help me to become all things to all men so that by any means some may be saved. Thank You that it is not Your will that any should perish but that all should come to faith in Jesus Christ, in Whose name I pray, AMEN.

“To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.”

Praying through 1 Corinthians 9:24

Heavenly Father, I pray that I will run the race that is set before me, to Your praise and glory. May I conduct my Christian life in the power of Your Holy Spirit. May I exercise self-control and consider the needs of others before my own. And may I endure patiently in the trials of life. Lord, I want to run the race to win, to Your honour and glory. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

“Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.”

Praying through 1 Corinthians 9:25

Heavenly Father, what an amazing testimony we see in Paul who demonstrated a disciplined life that was spent preaching the glorious gospel of grace to Jew and Gentile alike. Thank You that all who live godly in Christ Jesus and exercise self-control in their Christian life are promised an imperishable crown, that will never fade away. Help me to press on for the upward call of God, in Christ Jesus my Lord. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.”
