Prayer for 2 Corinthians 4

Choose Verse

Heavenly Father, thank You for the many witnesses to the Word of truth. Thank You that salvation is freely available to all who will open their eyes to the truth of Your Word and unblock their ears to the satanic lies and deceptions, that come from the evil one. Look down in pity on those that are in the valley of decisions and bring many into saving faith this day - through the convicting work of the Holy Spirit - this we ask in Jesus name, AMEN.

“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:”

“In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”

Loving Father, thank You for the Light You have given me, in the face of Jesus, my Saviour and Lord. It is only through His sufficient sacrifice that I have been so blessed, for without the shining Light of the Spirit of Christ within, I would continue to wallow in the darkness of the world. May the light of Your truth, love and compassion, shine in me and reflect from me the glories of Jesus, so that Your name may be glorified in all I say and do, AMEN.

“For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”

Your Kind of Vessel

Lord, give me the purity, integrity and focus to be the kind of vessel You would desire.

“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.”

Heavenly Father, how I thank You for the way that You have worked in my life to draw me closer to Yourself.. through the things that I have suffered. Thank You that.. although I may be persecuted, You will never forsake me - and thank You that although I may be struck down, Your grace is sufficient, for Your strength is made perfect by my weakness. Thank You in Jesus name, AMEN.

Thanksgiving For The Advent Of Jesus

Father, You are our God of hope and love. Thank You for sending Your only begotten Son into the world so that sinful man might be forgiven of their sins and be given peace with God, through the sacrifice of the precious life of Christ Jesus.

Thank You for the joy and hope that this time of Advent brings into the hearts of all those who trust in Jesus. Thank You Lord that Jesus is coming again to set up His eternal kingdom on earth as You have promised, and that we who are members of His body will rule and reign with Him for 1000 years.

Thank You for the hope and love and peace that You gave to mankind in the Person of our Lord Jesus Christ – to You be all the praise and glory at this special time of Advent and throughout the coming year, in Jesus name we pray,

“For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.”

Times of Healing and Spiritual Renewal

Loving Father, I know that You often halt us in our tracks and remove us from the business of life, through an illness or a time of ill-health - so that we are forced take our eyes off the hurly-burly of life, and lie on an enforced bed of sickness - in order to rediscover what are our true priorities are in life.

Father, I know that I have not spent quality time with You, as I have allowed the daily duties of life and less-important issues to crowd out my special time alone in Your presence.

Forgive me I pray. I want to use this time of ill-health as an opportunity to get closer to You. Lead me and guide me in this time of illness - and may it become a time of spiritual as well as a period of physical rest.

Heal me Father I pray, not only in my body but also in my relationship with You,

Thank you,

“For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.”
(2 Corinthians 4:16)

Prayer For Thos in Hospital

Heavenly Father we bring to You the many people that have found themselves in hospital and pray that in a wonderful way You would minister to them through the doctors and nurses and all those that are there to help them in their recovery.

Lord we pray that You would use this time in hospital to reach deep into the hearts of each these people and help them to realise how fragile their lives are - and to cause them to consciously search for You with their hearts.

Lord we pray that as healing and health comes to their bodies that spiritual healing and wholeness would come to their souls – and that the time they have spent in hospital would become a spiritual wake-up call – so that they re-evaluate their lives and realise their need of Jesus as their Saviour - and accept Christ as their Redeemer and King – in Whose name we pray,

“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;”
(2 Corinthians 4:17)
