Prayer for 2 Corinthians 4:16 ►
“Therefore we do not give up; even though our outer person is being destroyed, our inner person is being renewed day by day.”
Gracious God, I bring all those who think that they are a hopeless case and that there is no way out of the terrible addiction which has entrapped them – Lord there are so many people who have become enslaved to various forms of addiction – yet we know that there is wonderful hope for everyone - no matter what level to which they have sunk for Christ died for all – His death paid the price for every addict and all they have to do is to believe that Christ died on the cross to take the punishment that they deserve and rose to give them life – if they will only believe..
Look down with Your grace and compassion on all who are so entrapped in their addictions and I pray that You will bring many out from this terrible existence, which is so harmful and so degrading.
Bless all Father and may Your Holy Spirit seek out and save many such souls - who turn to Christ as Saviour.

Heavenly Father, what a wonderful hope we have in Christ that day by day we are being renewed in our inner man, even though we can see our outward body is growing older and deteriorating. Thank You for my present privileged position in Christ and for the glorious future destiny I have in heaven. I pray that I will not lose heart as I see my outer man decaying, but will stand strong in the faith and press on for the upward call of God in Christ Jesus, as I watch for His any day return - when this mortal will put on immortality and this perishable body will be clothed in an imperishable one, for Your greater praise and glory. How I thank and praise You in Jesus' name, AMEN.

day for 2 Corinthians 4:16
Loving Father, I know that You often halt us in our tracks and remove us from the business of life, through an illness or a time of ill-health - so that we are forced take our eyes off the hurly-burly of life, and lie on an enforced bed of sickness - in order to rediscover what are our true priorities are in life.
Father, I know that I have not spent quality time with You, as I have allowed the daily duties of life and less-important issues to crowd out my special time alone in Your presence.
Forgive me I pray. I want to use this time of ill-health as an opportunity to get closer to You. Lead me and guide me in this time of illness - and may it become a time of spiritual as well as a period of physical rest.
Heal me Father I pray, not only in my body but also in my relationship with You,
