Healing For My Long Time Illness

Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for being with me through all the ups and downs of my life and for the many blessings that You have given me for which I praise and thank You.

Lord – You know the illness that I have been struggling with for a long time now and that there is little that seems to be able to be done by the medical profession - but Lord I believe that I am fearfully and wonderfully made and that You know every part of my body - and You know exactly why I have been ill for so long. Lord, I come to You now asking that You would work a full recovery in my body – whatever is causing this persistent problem - and I pray that You would, in Your mercy give me back the health and strength I need…

Lord if there is anything that is lacking in my diet or anything that is causing this ongoing problem within my body – I pray that You would show me so that it may be finally dealt with – Restore again my health and strength I pray and guide me along the path that You have planned for me, in Jesus name I pray,

“When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?”

Heavenly Father, thank You for the many lessons that You teach us through Your word. May we keep our focus on Jesus and not become too obsessed with our own troubles and difficulties, which can entrap our minds, and cause us to dwell on our present woes, rather than on our future hope. Keep me alert to Your leading and ready to listen to Your voice, in every situation of life, and thank You for Your amazing grace, that through faith in Jesus, I have not only been forgiven of my sin, but have been given all I need for life and godliness. Thank You in Jesus name I pray, AMEN.

“Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.”

Heavenly Father, How easy it is to fall into legalism and hypocritical thinking by our short-sighted understanding of Your goodness and grace towards the human race and Your plans and purposes for the redemption of man. Keep me from narrow-minded, hypocritical religious thinking and may I act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with You all the days of my life - to Your praise and glory, this I ask in Jesus name. AMEN.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the wonderful example of the Lord Jesus Christ, Who laid aside His heavenly glory to be made in the likeness of sinful flesh so that in carrying out Your will, He paid the price for the sin of the world, and demonstrated the way that all Your sons and daughters should live - in humble obedience to Your will.. only saying and doing those things that we hear from You. Help me to live my life to Your praise and glory in Jesus name I pray, AMEN.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the amazing plan of redemption. Thank You that the only way that You could save mankind from eternal separation from Yourself was to send Your dearly loved Son as the sacrifice for our sin – so that under Your authority He could live a life of dependence on You and die as a perfect, sinless Man. Thank You that He was obedient, to the point of death and has received all power and glory for His faithfulness. Praise Your holy name, AMEN.

“That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.”

The Death Of A Believer

Loving Lord I am filled with grief and sadness at the loss of my precious loved one – and yet that pain is tinged with gold, knowing that they trusted you as their Saviour and that they are now in Your presence.

I know that I am going to miss this precious one, who has been my strength and my joy for so long, and thank You for the precious times we had together.

Often Lord I expect my dear one to just be there, or walk through the door - and then remember that they have gone home to be with You. At times this is quite hard and yet I know that I must not grieve as those that have not hope in Jesus – but rejoice knowing that the day is coming when we will be together with You and You will wipe away all tears from our eyes - but at the moment my loss is like an open wound – and I pray that You will heal my brokenness and the loneliness I feel… and draw me every closer into Your arms of love my Lord and my God.

Thank You for all You are to me and may I rest in You in Jesus name,

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”

Heavenly Father, I do not know or understand a fraction of the cost.. for the eternal Son of God to come in the likeness of sinful flesh and willingly sacrifice His life for me.. as the suffering Son of Man. But I praise and thank You that by His sacrificial death and glorious resurrection many who were dead in sins have heard His voice and been given a new-life-in-Christ for the forgiveness of sins and life everlasting - Praise His holy name, AMEN.

Heavenly Father, thank You that Your Holy Spirit convicted me of sin, righteousness and judgement and that by faith in Christ I have been saved by grace, justified in Your eyes, declared righteous because of Christ and am assured of taking part in the first resurrection - the resurrection to eternal life. There are many who have rejected Your word and turned away from the truth, causing them to remain under Your condemnation. We pray that while there is still time, many would hear the gospel of grace and put their trust in Jesus, and join us in the first resurrection to life - in Jesus name we pray, AMEN.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the inspired scriptures, which point us to Christ. May we read them with understanding and be guided into all truth by Your Holy Spirit. Keep me from seeking to add to Your finished work of Calvary, through my own works of the flesh.. knowing that eternal life is only to be found by faith in Christ alone, and that I am only accepted by You because I am 'in Christ,' and not because of anything that I could do. Praise His holy name and draw me closer to Jesus day by day - in Whose name I pray, AMEN.

We praise that thank You Heavenly Father that You have convicted us of our sin and the need of Christ for the forgiveness of sins and life everlasting.. but Lord there are many today who reject the truth of Scripture and the testimony that You are the eternal Son of God, Who is co-equal with the Father and a member of the co-eternal Godhead - Who came to earth to die for the sin of the whole world. Convict many today of their need of You we pray - and that before it is too late You will bring many into the kingdom for Jesus names sake we pray, AMEN.
