Praying through John 6:4

Heavenly Father, thank You for the Gospel of John and the glorious truth and wealth of information it contains about our Saviour, Jesus Christ. Thank You that He came to earth as the incarnate Word, the living Bread from heaven, and the Water of life, and that He lived, and died, and rose again, so that all may receive a new life in Him. Thank You that You sent Him to be Israel’s Passover Lamb and the precious Sacrifice for the sin of the whole world. I pray that every part of the Bible may remain vibrant to me and that You teach me more and more of the wonderful truth of Jesus. This I ask in His precious name, AMEN.

Praying through John 6:20

Heavenly Father, how wonderful to know that You are my Provider and Deliver, my Sustainer and Helper, my Hope and Strength, my Lord and my God. As the difficulties and dangers at home and abroad seem to increase with every passing day, I pray that my eyes will be looking away from the circumstances of life, which can become so overwhelming, by keeping the eyes of my heart fixed on Jesus Who created all things by the word of His mouth, upholds all things by the strength of His infinite power, and holds me fast in the palm of His hands - to Whom be all honour and glory, AMEN.

Heavenly Father, thank You that Your Word contains all that I need for life and godliness. Thank You that while I was still a sinner and dead in my trespasses and sins, Christ died for me, and the Holy Spirit sought me out in love and convicted me of my need of a Saviour. Praying through John 6:47

Heavenly Father, I am astonished at the simplicity of the good news of the gospel of grace - that whosoever believes on the Person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ will not die in their sins but be forgiven and have eternal life. Father, there are many that are trying to gain eternal life through their own good works and their own charitable acts and benevolent character. Open their eyes to the truth that we are all sinners in need of salvation and that no one comes to the Father except through faith in Jesus, the Son of God - through faith in the sacrificial offering of Himself on Calvary's Cross for the sin of the world. It is not Your will that any should perish but that all should turn from sin to Christ and acknowledge Him as Saviour. In Your anger against sin, show mercy to those that are lost in their trespasses and at enmity towards You. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.”
