Heavenly Father, thank You for Christ Jesus the true and living Vine. Thank You that You have called me to be a branch on that Vine. Thank You that by grace through faith in Him, I have heard the gospel of grace and have been saved by the cleansing power of You Word. I pray that I may live and work to Your praise and glory and be daily cleansed - as I abide in You and You in me, to Your praise and glory, AMEN.

Loving Father more and more I see that when I try to do things in my own strength I will fail and not produce the fruit that glorifies You. I long that my life is lived as Christ lived – in total reliance in the Spirit of God, so that I only do those things that are prompted by You, in His name I pray, AMEN.

“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.”

Heavenly Father, teach me how to abide in Christ and He in me. Teach me to live my life as You would have me to live in total dependence upon You, which is the life of Christ being lived through me, so that I may produce the good fruit in my life that is honouring to You. This I ask this in Jesus name, AMEN.

Heavenly Father, I know that in and of myself I cannot love others in the same way that Christ loved me - unless I surrender my life completely into Your hands - so that His Spirit of love may flow through me to others.. until it is not I that live in this body - but Christ that lives in me.

Prayer Of Gratitude For My Friends

Heavenly Father, how gracious You are to bring into my life my many precious friends - all of which have become so special to me in their own individual and unique way.

I feel so blessed to be surrounded with so many dear people that I love and care for, and for the knowledge that they also love and care for me too – and thank You for the support that I have so often received from different ones , during those times of difficulty and pain.

Thank You also for the valuable lessons that I have learned through… some of which have been very difficult, and yet I have been have enabled through their loving support and encouragement to grow spiritually and emotionally – and gain wisdom and insight in so many important ways.

Help me to be the sort of friend that is always there for others. An ear to listen, a hand to help and a heart to comfort – and help me to grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Saviour, Lord Jesus, so that I me be His hand, His ear, His heart and His comfort to the many precious people that You have place in my life, in Jesus name I pray,

Amen
