Prayer for Hebrews 6

Choose Verse

Heavenly Father, I pray that I may mature in the faith and walk in the light, as He is in the light. Help me to move on from dabbling in the elementary teachings of Christianity.. and I pray that I may grow into a deeper awareness of all that You would teach me. Help me to grow in grace and in a knowledge of the Lord Jesus. Keep me walking in spirit and truth and enable me to learn patient endurance, so that I may become perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. Help me to increasingly abide in Christ and He in me, to Your greater praise and glory - in Jesus name I pray, AMEN.

“Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,”
(Hebrews 6:1)

Times of Healing and Spiritual Renewal

Loving Father, I know that You often halt us in our tracks and remove us from the business of life, through an illness or a time of ill-health - so that we are forced take our eyes off the hurly-burly of life, and lie on an enforced bed of sickness - in order to rediscover what are our true priorities are in life.

Father, I know that I have not spent quality time with You, as I have allowed the daily duties of life and less-important issues to crowd out my special time alone in Your presence.

Forgive me I pray. I want to use this time of ill-health as an opportunity to get closer to You. Lead me and guide me in this time of illness - and may it become a time of spiritual as well as a period of physical rest.

Heal me Father I pray, not only in my body but also in my relationship with You,

Thank you,

“If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.”

Prayer For Rain In A Drought

Dear Lord, we are facing a sever drought and we plead with You to open the heavens and send rain on this dry and thirsty land. Lord we know that You are the one that sends the rain and You are the one that can withhold the rain, but we pray that You would look down in pity on our waterless land and send the rain to water the land, reviving the land and the people.

Lord we do not deserve You grace and mercy, for we have not loved and served You as we should – but You are long-suffering and of great goodness and You would send rivers of water over the vegetation and fill up the water-hold and well – for the earth is parched and we do not know what to do.

Lord for Your Holy Names sake we ask that You would send the rains in this land soon, for we have no hope but You – for You have promised to give rain upon the earth and send water on the fields – You have promised that the seasons will not fail and that the harvest will continue to provide their bounty – but without the life-giving water, we are going to have to face very severe consequences. In Your mercy send us rain in the dry and dusty land, we pray in Jesus name.

“For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:”
(Hebrews 6:7)

Heavenly Father, You are a good and righteous God, Whose faithfulness continues from one generation to the next. Thank You for my great salvation. Thank You for the opportunity I have to work to Your praise, and to love others.. with the love that You first gave to me. May I live to each day of my life as unto the Lord .. and I ask that You would give me opportunities to minister, in love, to the body of Christ. Thank You that nothing we do ever goes unnoticed by You.. and may my life be a daily witness and living sacrifice to Your grace and goodness - this I ask in Jesus name, AMEN.

“For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.”

Heavenly Father, how we praise and thank You for the promise you made to Abraham which has its fulfilment in all who trust in the Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sin and life everlasting. Thank You that Your word is true, Your promises are sure and Your truth endures from one generation to the next. Thank You that in Christ we have become part of that cloud of witnesses, both living and dead, who have been saved by grace through faith. May we press on into spiritual maturity and be a living testimony of the hope that we have in Christ, in Whose name we pray, AMEN.

Loving Father, thank You for the wonderful reassurances of our security in Christ, which You have graciously poured out upon us in such super-abundance and which You have confirmed throughout Your holy Word, by many precious promises. We praise You for Your boundless grace and unchangeable character and we bless You that Jesus is our perfect heavenly representative, Who has gained for us eternal access into Your holy presence, through the willing sacrifice of Himself upon the cross of Calvary. We bless Your holy name, in Him. AMEN.

Heavenly Father, thank You for Jesus and all that He has done for me, and for all who are born from above. Thank You that He is our heavenly High Priest, Whose entrance in heaven guarantees our own position in the coming kingdom of Christ. Increase my understanding of Your word and all that it teaches and we pray that many, both Jew and Gentile alike, would come to a saving knowledge in the Lord Jesus, and swell the numbers of those that are saved - by grace through faith in Him. This we ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
