Prayer for Genesis 5 ►
Heavenly Father, thank You for the Bible and the wonderful story of redemption which traces the lineage of our Saviour Jesus Christ through the generations from Adam, Seth, Noah, Abraham and Israel. Thank You that You chose to make man in Your own image, and thank You that despite sin and its terrible consequences You determined to save us from our sins, by grace through faith in Christ Jesus, our Kinsman-Redeemer through Adam, AND our eternal God and Saviour, Who alone is to be worshipped and glorified. To Him be all praise and glory, world without end, AMEN.

day for Genesis 5:1
Heavenly Father, thank You that You did not terminate the race of man because of sin. Thank You that even though Adam sinned and death passed onto all men, making us all sinners, You chose to redeem Your fallen race through the Person and work of Christ. Thank You that through the lineage of Adam, Seth, Noah, Abraham and David came the Lord Jesus Christ - the eternal Son of God and perfect Son of Man, Who died and rose again so that all who believe on Him would be redeemed. Thank You that the day is coming when You will put all wrongs to right and the earth will be filled with the glory of God as the waters cover the sea. In the meantime, I pray that I may be increasingly transformed, into the image and likeness of Christ Jesus my Lord - in Whose name I pray, AMEN.
“And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son
in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth:”

day for Genesis 5:3
O God be gracious to me and bless me and make the light of Your face shine on me and draw me back into Your loving arms.. Lord I have wandered far from You, and have been chasing after the things that are of little importance… and in so doing I have left my First Love – I have wandered far from You Lord Jesus, I want to return into Your loving arms.
I have been remembering the beautiful fellowship we enjoyed together when I first was born again and am coming to You Lord now, to confess my neglect – to admit my fault in wandering far from You, in order to experience a few paltry pleasures of the world. But they have left a bitter taste in my mouth and I long to rest in Your love once again, to breathe in the refreshing air of Your grace and to return into the loving arms of Jesus.
So be gracious to me Lord, and may the light of Your face shine on me once more, in Jesus name I pray. In Your grace I come to You in humbleness of heart and pray that we may return into the sweet fellowship we once enjoyed – Thank You Lord that you are a God Whose greatest desire is to reconcile sinners back into Your loving arms,
“And Enoch walked with God: and he was
not; for God took him.”
