Prayer Of Gratitude For the Church Family

Lord Jesus I am so grateful to You for the church family You have given me and for the love and encouragement that I receive from each member.

I bless and thank You that we are all members of Your body and that we are all there to support each other in times of sorrow and joy as well as those seasons of sickness and health. How wonderful it is to know that we are all one in Christ and have that unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace and love.

We lift up the wider church family and pray that You would meet each one in their own particular time of need. We especially bring before You our brothers and sisters in Christ that have been rejected by their own family members due to their faith in the Lord Jesus and how grateful we are that the arms of love within the body of Christ stretch out to the four corners of the world.

Keep us all we pray in a bond of unity and may Christ be lifted up in the heart of each one – this we ask in Jesus name,

Amen

“Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;”

Heavenly Father, thank You that I am positioned in Christ and a member of His body, through time and into eternity. May I truly see that suffering in this world is a consequence of my union with Christ.. and that in all things Your grace is sufficient. Help me to see that in the same way that as my suffering for Christ abounds so also I have been given an over-abounding consolation and comfort from You. May my life be a witness to Your goodness and grace in Jesus name I pray, AMEN.

Heavenly Father, thank You that no matter what sufferings and pain I may be called upon to face, help me to rejoice in my suffering.. knowing that You are a God of great comfort.. and that Your grace is sufficient. I pray that my life and witness maybe a comfort and encouragement to others, so that we may all attain to the unity of the faith, and increase in a knowledge of the Son of God. I pray that that we may all come to a mature man, and attain a measure of the stature, which belongs to the fullness of Christ. This I ask in Jesus name, AMEN

Prayer For Thos in Hospital

Heavenly Father we bring to You the many people that have found themselves in hospital and pray that in a wonderful way You would minister to them through the doctors and nurses and all those that are there to help them in their recovery.

Lord we pray that You would use this time in hospital to reach deep into the hearts of each these people and help them to realise how fragile their lives are - and to cause them to consciously search for You with their hearts.

Lord we pray that as healing and health comes to their bodies that spiritual healing and wholeness would come to their souls – and that the time they have spent in hospital would become a spiritual wake-up call – so that they re-evaluate their lives and realise their need of Jesus as their Saviour - and accept Christ as their Redeemer and King – in Whose name we pray,

Amen.
“But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:”

Heavenly Father, as I consider all that has been given me by grace - through simply trusting in Christ as my sin-sacrifice and heavenly Saviour, I humbly bow in grateful praise and thanksgiving for Your goodness and grace, towards a sinner, such as I. Keep my heart broken before You and keep the cross of Christ ever before my eyes, knowing that I am established in Him, and eternally secure, by Your grace and mercy, through faith in Christ. May I die to self, and live for Him alone, and may I grow in grace to Your praise and glory. This I ask in Jesus name, AMEN.

Heavenly Father, what an amazing God You are.. that while I was yet a sinner.. Christ died for me.. and not only saved me and forgave me of my sin but securely sealed me as Your promised possession and sent the Holy Spirit into my heart as a pledge and a guarantee, that Your promises to me.. and to all Your blood-bought children can never be broken. Thank You in Jesus name, AMEN.
