I confess that I have not only hurt other people, and especially those that are close to me – but I have offended You and ignored some of the warnings that I believe were directly or indirectly sent from You. Help me I pray to break free of this ungodly addiction and get on the road to recovery.
Forgive me Lord I pray me for I have sinned against You and ignored the clear teaching of Your Word to live soberly, righteously and in the fear of the Lord and to walk circumspectly before You, as a child of the light. But I come to You in humble submission to ask You to help me to get on the road to addiction recovery, for I know that You have promised to lift-up all who come to You out of the miry pit – even when we have foolishly dug it for ourselves.
Help me be set free from alcohol.. putting on the breastplate of righteousness, and grace, and for helmet – the hope of salvation in Christ , in Whose name I pray,
“Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.”

Praise Your name O Lord most high. I glory at your wonderful creative power, but I wonder more at the amazing grace that You have shown to me in dying for me on Calvary’s cross, and pray that You will use me to tell out the glories of Your name in the place where You have planted me, in Jesus name I pray, AMEN.
“Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men
say among the nations, The LORD reigneth.”

Dear Lord, what great hope and mystery surrounds this lovely time of the year when the body of Christ specially remember the first advent of our Lord Jesus with such anticipation – that wonderful time when You came into the world, so many years ago, as the King of Israel and Saviour of the world.
Lord we know that it is not Your will that anyone should perish but that all should come to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Who alone can save a dying world, that is lost in trespasses and sins.
Open the eyes and the hearts of those that are lost in their sins and blinded to the truth of the glorious gospel of Christ. Visit those we pray who have not yet accepted the Lord Jesus as their Saviour. Convict those who have their attention fixed on the temporal things that are passing away….. Lord at this time of Advent when the people of the world are so busy in making preparation for a secular Christmas, we ask You to convict many hearts of their real need of Jesus Christ as their Saviour.
Bring many we pray to a deeper understanding of the real meaning of Advent and Christmas, Help them to come to and realise that this is a time of hope, as we remember when the eternal God became the prefect Man – and was born as a baby to die on a cross for the sin of the world. Help them to understand that He lived His life in the shadow of the cross, so that sinful man could be forgiven - by simply believing on His name. Look down in pity on all who do not know the Lord Jesus as Saviour, in Whose name we pray,
“And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the heathen, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, and
glory in thy praise.”
