Heavenly Father, as I advance in years and part of my body begin to fail and age I come to You asking for Your sufficient strength as I struggle with the pain of arthritis, in my body.
Thank You that You kept me in the flush of youth and supported me through those frantic middle years where friends and family, jobs and other issues kept me busily running to and fro.
Now Lord, I have time on my hand and am finding that as my joints seize up I am not able to move as speedily or react as quickly as I used to. Use me, I pray, to lift up those that are also struggling with the pain of arthritic bones and joints that are not a flexible as they once were.
Thank You that You are with me in every season of my life and I pray that as I continue to run the race set before me that You would lead and guide in all I say and do and may it all be done for Your praise and glory, this I ask in Jesus name,
Amen
Heavenly Father, there are so many examples of men and women in the Bible who trusted You in the midst of their pain and problems and You always were there to keep them in the face of their trials and bring them through to victory.
As I consider the difficulties my friend has with the pain their stiff limbs and arthritic joints brings, I think of Joseph who had to go through so much unjust treatment during His time in Egypt, of David who was relentlessly pursued by His enemies and Daniel, who was thrown to the lions for maintaining His faith in You.
Although my friend is not facing the sorts of difficulties these men had to endure, the pain they are going through makes it difficult to cope and physically exhausting. Uphold them with Your righteous hand and sustain them in the midst of their trials.
Help them to learn the lesson of faith and hope and trust in You, in spite of the suffering they are going through, and help them never to forget that You have promised to be with them always – even to the end of the age. Thank You that You are always with us all, and have promised never to leave us nor forsake us... and bring them the joy of Your salvation we pray,
Amen
Heavenly Father, You are the Creator of all, the almighty, omnipotent God of the universe. You created man in You own image and we are fearfully and wonderfully made.
I humbly lift up my brother who is stricken with arthritis in many parts of His body and even finds it difficult to sleep at night because of his intense pain.
Look down in pity on Your servant and touch His muscles and bones, his sinuses and organs and let the sunshine of Your strength flood his body. Give his relief from his ongoing and nagging pain and restore him to health and strength I pray.
Thank You that You are a God Who hears and answers prayer and we will not forget to give You all the praise and glory – for You alone are worthy.
Amen
Lord and Saviour, My lovely sister has been afflicted with arthritis for many years and she goes through much pain and her bones are deteriorating too.
Lord, she is a lovely lady who does not complain about her deteriorating health and it is hard to watch her becoming weaker as the months and years pass by. Ease her pain I pray and uphold her in Your grace and goodness
Help her I pray in her pain and heal her.. and if there are herbs of foods that could help to ease her hurt I pray that You would give us the grace to find out what would be best for her. May You bless and keep her and make Your face to shine on her and be gracious to her I pray, in Jesus' nam
Amen
Dear Father, it is not always easy to think positively when we are surrounded by trials and tribulation and when our bodies are racked with arthritic pain. But I trust in Your unfailing love and grace and ask that You would be with me today, and help me to rejoice in the Lord always, knowing that You are my God and Saviour, Who died so that I might have life everlasting.
Keep me looking to Jesus, and trusting in His strength and grace to overcome any pain. When I consider that I once was lost but now am found, I bless You that my salvation is secure and I have a home and inheritance, kept for me in heavenly places.
