Prayer for Matthew 9:2

“Just then some men brought to Him a paralytic lying on a stretcher. Seeing their faith, Jesus told the paralytic, "Have courage, son, your sins are forgiven."”

Heavenly Father, How much there is to learn from the heart-warming story of the paralytic, who friends brought him to Jesus.. and whose faith was rewarded with the healing of their friends' paralysed body. Thank You also for this amazing demonstration of Christ's power over sin, sickness; diseases and death. Thank You that in HIM is health and wholeness and that through faith in Him our sins are forgiven. I pray that I would demonstrate a similar trust in You that was shown by these men, when they brought their friend to Jesus - and thank You that my sins are forgiven - simply by grace - through faith in the Person and Work of Christ Jesus, my Lord. Increase my courage when faith wears thin and may I never doubt Your ability to bring life and liberty to whosoever will trust in You  - this I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.
