Praying through Matthew 13:9

Heavenly Father, help me to have a listening ear and to hear all that You have to say to me. Give me a teachable spirit, and may I grow in grace and in a knowledge of You. Help me to trust Your Word implicitly, for Your Word is truth. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

Praying through Matthew 13:12

Heavenly Father, what a gracious and wise God You are to permit man to choose life or death, heaven or hell, forgiveness or condemnation, as a matter of free-will. Thank You for the light of the gospel of grace and for opening my eyes to the truth. Have mercy on those who of their own volition, choose the path to death, destruction, and condemnation. Continue to open my eyes to the truth and help me to choose the good and eschew the evil.. and reveal to rebellious men the horrific consequences of rejecting the gospel of Christ. This I pray in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.”

Praying through Matthew 13:14

Heavenly Father, thank You that I am part of Your Body, and the truth of salvation in the finished work of Christ has been granted to me, by grace through faith. Open my ears to hear Your voice and to understand the truths that are hidden in Your Word. May I grow in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus and be used by You to forward Your kingdom as You see fit. Thy will be done. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

Praying through Matthew 13:38

Heavenly Father, thank You that Christ died on the Cross to pay the price for my sin. Thank You that He rose again to break the power of sin in my life and to give me a new life in Christ. Thank You that I have been born from above and am Your child. Help me to listen to Your voice and to be obedient to Your Word. May I to look to Jesus, moment by moment, and give me wisdom to discern who and what is not from You, so that I may eschew the evil and cling to the good. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;”
