Praying through Mark 2:2

Heavenly Father, thank You for the example of Jesus, Who during His earthly life, placed the needs of others before His own comfort, and gathered the strength He needed to finish the work that You ordained for Him to do, through the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit, to Your praise and glory. May I live as Jesus lived, in total dependence upon You and in submission to the Holy Spirit, knowing that Your grace is sufficient for all the work that You have prepared for me to do. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.”

Praying through Mark 2:5

Thank You, Father, that Jesus died on the Cross to pay the price for my sins and that by believing on His name, my sins have been forgiven forever, and my life is now hid with Christ in God. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

“When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.”

Praying through Mark 2:22

Heavenly Father, I want to be emptied of all that is of the old life so that I may be freshly filled, day by day, with Your Spirit of truth. I pray that I may daily die to my old self-effort and prideful self-righteousness and submit to the indwelling Holy Spirit so that the life of Christ may live in me. I pray that the life of Christ in me may produce the acceptable fruit of His righteousness, to Your praise and glory. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

“And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.”

Praying through Mark 2:27

Heavenly Father, thank You that I am not bound by religious laws and legalistic practices, but have been made a new creation in Christ. He is my Sabbath rest, not only during my sojourn on earth, but in the eternal ages to come. Thank You that I am not bound by the burdensome rules and regulations of the Law, but have recognised that the Law was a tool You used to point sinners to Jesus Christ. In Christ, I find true rest and refreshment as I abide in Him and He in me. May I worship You in spirit and truth every day of the week, and may I take every opportunity to meet with other believers as we worship You together and enjoy Christian fellowship in our Churches and Chapels. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:”
