Prayer for Luke 13:6

“And He told this parable: "A man had a fig tree that was planted in his vineyard. He came looking for fruit on it and found none.”

Heavenly Father, thank You for the lesson of the fruitless fig tree, which illustrated the barrenness that comes from a hardened heart, which refuses to acknowledge sin and turn to Christ for forgiveness and life. I pray that I may abide in Him and He in me so I may be a fruitful branch during this Church age, when the gospel of grace is being preached worldwide. I pray that despite Israel's rejection of their Messiah and the partial blindness that has covered their spiritual eyes, that many  will turn to Jesus for salvation. And I pray for that day, when  the entire nation will call on the name of the Lord and be saved. This I ask in Jesus' name AMEN.
