Prayer for James 2:10

“For whoever keeps the entire law, yet fails in one point, is guilty of [breaking it] all.”

Prayer For Spiritual Accountability

Loving Lord I realise the importance of spiritual accountability in my own Christian life and pray that You would raise up godly men and women of faith, to whom to You should be accountable. Help me not to balk at the thought of accountability but rather to embrace it and learn all I can from the wise council of those that You place in my life. Lord I pray that together we would grow in grace and obtain wisdom in time of need.

Lord I pray that You would provide me with someone – perhaps even a prayer partner, where together we could enjoy fellowship, but also build us a relationship that enables us to be transparent in our Christian walk and sufficiently mature and sensitive enough to give guidance to each other for our mutual encouragement and reciprocal counsel.

Lord I know that the enemy as a roaring lion seeks to devour all those that do not hold themselves accountable to You – leaving them vulnerable to his evil attacks and spiritual discouragement. Help me Lord to be the person You would have me to be and give me humility of heart and a spirit of grace as I seek to do only those things that are righteous and appropriate in Your sight, in Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word and the truths within its pages. Thank You that I am not in bondage to the Law of Moses but am free to live in the liberty of the Law of the Spirit of God, in Christ Jesus. Thank You for the lessons I can learn from Your dealings with Israel and of the importance of remaining in fellowship with You, day by day. Thank You that Christ died to pay the full price for my sin and that I have been given the power to live a holy life, that is honouring to You. Keep me from sinning, for I know that sin, in thought, word or deed, will remove me from the fellowship I enjoy with You. But thank You that Christ's sacrifice for me, was made once and for all - and that if I confess those times I fall into sin, You are faithful to forgive me and return me into sweet communion. Thank You in Jesus name, AMEN.
