Praying through Isaiah 6:1

Heavenly Father, what a great and magnificent God You are. Keep me looking away from the world to Jesus Who alone is my Protector and Provider, Who died in my place, rose again, and Who is now seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven. Hallelujah! In Jesus' name, AMEN.

“In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.”

Praying through Isaiah 6:3

Father God, the glory of Your Person and the perfection of Your character amazes me. May I lift my voice to You every day like the cherubim who sing around Your throne: "Holy, holy holy is the Lord of hosts, the whole earth is full of His glory." Praise Your holy name! In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

“And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.”

Praying through Isaiah 6:8

Heavenly Father, teach me more of Who You are and show me how flawed my understanding is of who I truly am and of all that Christ has done for me. Thank you for cleansing my lips and washing me clean in the blood of Jesus. Thank You for sending Your Holy Spirit to live in me and for building me up, into the living Temple, with all who are saved by grace, through faith in Christ. In a world that has lost its way, I pray in Jesus' name, "Lord. Here am I, send me." AMEN.

“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.”
(Isaiah 6:8)

Praying through Isaiah 6:9

Heavenly Father, it must have been wonderful for Isaiah to see the Lord, high and lifted up, but what a solemn message he was given, that people would hear his words but reject his message. Lord, it is human nature to expect people to respond positively to the glorious gospel of grace, and yet I see that many will hear the words of the gospel but not listen or understand because of the hardness of their hearts. Help me not to become discouraged when I try to share the gospel and am rebuffed or scorned. Help me to be faithful in the work You have given me to do and I pray that some would hear and respond with repentance and joy, for the honour of Your holy name. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.”
