Prayer for Isaiah 55

Praying through Isaiah 55:1

Heavenly Father, thank You that the precious invitation that was open to Israel, to come and drink of the waters of life freely and without cost, is still open to thirsty souls in this Church dispensation. How wonderful that this promise of salvation continues to be open to anyone who believes on the Lord Jesus Christ, both Jew and Gentile, and is given freely to whosoever will come. Thank You that I have been baptised into the Body of Christ by the Holy Spirit of God and that in Him, I have free access to the Bread of Life and can drink deeply of the Living Water. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

“Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.”
(Isaiah 55:1)

Praying through Isaiah 55:8

Loving Heavenly Father, forgive my pride in trying to second-guess what You are doing, and even trying to tell You at times what is best for my life. Help me to remember that You have a perfect plan and purpose for all Your children. Keep me broken at the Cross, and may Your will be done in my life. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.”

Praying through Isaiah 55:11

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word. Thank You that the Scriptures will not return to You void, but will accomplish all that You have determined. Thank You for Your plan of salvation and the simplicity of trusting in Jesus for the forgiveness of sin and life everlasting. Stir up the faith of Christians everywhere, and kindle afresh the gifts in us, knowing that the time is short. Renew our desire to share the gospel with the lost and bring many to faith in Christ in these closing days of the Church age. This I ask in Jesus' name and for His dear name's sake, AMEN.

“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
(Isaiah 55:11)
