Prayer for Isaiah 53

Praying through Isaiah 53:2

Heavenly Father, the image of Christ in His humiliation as a Man Who had no exciting outward appearance or desirable human attributes to commend Him to the children of men for whom He died, stands in such stark contrast with His divine nature, His holy character, His sinless life, and the sacrificial offering of Himself. As I see Jesus as He truly is, I am awestruck by His amazing grace and eternal beauty. My beautiful Saviour, Jesus You are. I give You all my praise and glory, AMEN.

“For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.”
(Isaiah 53:2)

Praying through Isaiah 53:3

Heavenly Father, when I consider the enormous weight of my sin and the eternal consequences of all my transgressions, I stand amazed and in awe that You should love me so much that You gave Your only begotten Son to bear all my grief and carry all my sorrow. I am staggered to realise that in order for me to be redeemed and returned into fellowship with the Father, the Lord Jesus Christ was smitten of God and afflicted, out of love for me. To Him be all honour and glory, forever and ever, AMEN.

“He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.”
(Isaiah 53:3)

Praying through Isaiah 53:4

Heavenly Father, I praise and thank You that Christ was lifted up to die on the Cross to pay the price for my sin. I am as guilty of His death on the Cross as those that falsely accused Him and nailed Him there to die. I am equally to blame, and yet I praise and thank You that through faith in His sacrificial death and glorious Resurrection, I have been redeemed and forgiven of my sin. I praise You that His finished work was sufficient. Hallelujah! What a Saviour! Praise His holy name, AMEN.

“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.”

Prayer For Personal Healing

Heavenly Father, I know that my times are in Your hands and I also believe that You care about everything in my life. In Your sovereignty, You are not surprised by anything that happens to any of Your children. I believe that You make all things work together for the good of us that love You. I believe that You care for each one of us with a perfect and holy love.

I come to You today because my health has been deteriorating with some ailment that has not been diagnosed. I am not sure what to do, but I know that You understand everything about me. I believe that You know exactly what I need to bring me back to full health and strength and I am trusting You in this time of illness in my life.

Please God, I ask for Your healing touch on my life, and pray that You would bring to my attention the treatment that is best suited for my condition. Please direct me in the way that I should go at this difficult time in my life. Thank You, Father, in Jesus' name I pray,

Amen.

“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”

For America As A Nation Who Has Lost Its Way

Loving Lord, I come to You to place the once great nation of United States of America at Your feet, knowing that our great country and it's constitution was made for a moral and religious people and is wholly inadequate for any other form of government, and yet we have strayed so far from the principles and practices of our great founders, who drew up our constitution based on Your Word.

But Lord, although this was once the land of the brave and the home of the free, sadly there is so much that is wrong with our country that I fear for its future. Lord, as a people we have walked away from You and discredited Your holy name by the way that we have conducted ourselves over the past few years and there is no health in our land.

Look down in pity on our people and our land, and protect us from those that seem determined on destroying our nation. Send Your Spirit I pray, through the land of America, and touch the hearts of all those that are called by Your name to plead on behalf our people. Convict those that are damaging our infrastructure and as a nation may we turn away from our wicked ways and return You to Your rightful position, in integrity and truth.

I ask this in Jesus' name,

Amen.

“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.”

Praying through Isaiah 53:7

Heavenly Father, thank You that Christ became the sacrificial Lamb on my account. I stand in awe that the eternal Son of God was born as the sinless Son of Man so that He could be my Kinsman-Redeemer. Thank You that Jesus took the punishment that I deserved and did not open His mouth to proclaim His innocence, but endured the Cross on my behalf. To Him be all praise and glory, AMEN.

“He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.”
(Isaiah 53:7)

Praying through Isaiah 53:10

Heavenly Father, You are a loving and wonderfully gracious God, and I thank You and love You for putting the Lord Jesus to grief for my sake and for all who trust in His name. Forgive those that misunderstand the depth of Your love for each of us individually and collectively, knowing that without Christ as our guilt offering, we could not have been redeemed to become Your children. Praise Your name forever and ever. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

“Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.”
(Isaiah 53:10)
