Prayer for Hebrews 8

Choose Verse

Heavenly Father, thank You for the amazing picture of the high, heavenly Sanctuary and that Jesus is the Mediator of a better covenant. Thank You that He stands in the gap between God and Man. Thank You that Christ is fully God and good enough to pay the price for our sin. Thank You also, that Jesus is fully Man and died as our sin-sacrifice and offered His blood on the heavenly alter in Your holy presence – praise His holy name, AMEN.

“Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.”

Heavenly Father, thank You that through the blood of Christ Jesus our Lord we have a new and better covenant, with new and better promises of grace and the forgiveness of sins. Thank You that He is our glorified, living Sacrifice and our heavenly High Priest.. Who at this moment is interceding for all His children day and night. Thank You Lord that I am not under law but under grace. Help me to live my life as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to You - in Jesus name I pray, AMEN.

“For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.”

Heavenly Father, thank You that You are our God of peace Who through the shed blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.. has made eternal peace with all who trust in Him as Saviour and have given us eternal life by means of Your new and better covenant. Thank You that my Salvation does not depend on me trying to keep Your perfect Law but on Christ and His finished work on the cross - for Christ is the end of the Law for righteousness, to everyone who believes in Him.. knowing that He has already accomplished the purpose for which the Law was given, on my account - for which I praise and thank You in Jesus name, AMEN.

“For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.”
