Losing Hope Through Addiction

Gracious God, I bring all those who think that they are a hopeless case and that there is no way out of the terrible addiction which has entrapped them – Lord there are so many people who have become enslaved to various forms of addiction – yet we know that there is wonderful hope for everyone - no matter what level to which they have sunk for Christ died for all – His death paid the price for every addict and all they have to do is to believe that Christ died on the cross to take the punishment that they deserve and rose to give them life – if they will only believe..

Look down with Your grace and compassion on all who are so entrapped in their addictions and I pray that You will bring many out from this terrible existence, which is so harmful and so degrading.

Bless all Father and may Your Holy Spirit seek out and save many such souls - who turn to Christ as Saviour.

Amen

Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me so much that while I was still dead in my trespasses and sins, Christ completed His finished work on the cross.. so that by grace through faith in Him, I might have forgiveness of sin and life everlasting. Thank You for those who taught me about the Lord Jesus and who demonstrated the love of Christ in their own lives - provoking me to love and good works in my own life. Help me to be so in tune with You that others may be provoked unto love and good works through my witness, as Christ lives in me and I in Him. AMEN.

“And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:”

Heavenly Father, thank You that I am part of the body of Christ and thank You for the opportunities I have to meet regularly with my brothers and sisters in Christ. I pray that I may actively seek out opportunities to meet together with other Christians.. so that together we may give mutual encouragement and motivate one another towards godly love and good works. And Lord, as the world becomes increasingly dark, I pray that none of us may fall into the trap of becoming isolated in our Christian walk, but may we grow in grace and wisdom and in a knowledge of You - enjoying godly fellowship and sound teaching - to Your praise and glory, AMEN.

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”

Prayer To Embrace Your Purpose In Christ

Thank You Father that I am Your child and that I have a citizenship laid up for me in the heaven, from which we await our coming Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank You that Your purpose for humanity is all tied up in Him, and that He is to be honored above all rule and authority.. power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.

Thank You Father that You have put all things in subjection under His feet, and given Him as Head over all things to the Church, which is His body - the fullness of Him Who fills all in all.

Heavenly Father, as a part of that Body I pray that I may fulfill the work that You have purposed for me to do. I thank You Father that Your will for my life is to transform me into the image and likeness of the Lord Jesus Christ and I pray that my life may reflect His grace and beauty in all I say and do.

I pray that I may willingly submit to the work of the Holy Spirit in my life – even on those occasions when I do not understand.. and ask that all that is of me may decrease and all that is of Christ may increase – until He is all in all in my life.. to Your praise and glory. This I ask in the name of Jesus,

Amen
