Prayer for Haggai 1:6

“You have planted much but harvested little. You eat but never have enough to be satisfied. You drink but never have enough to become drunk. You put on clothes but never have enough to get warm. The wage earner [puts his] wages into a bag with a hole in it."”

Praying through Haggai 1:6

Heavenly Father, how quick I am to recognise the faults and failings of Your people, Israel, and yet I am guilty in neglecting my own duty toward You, which should be my delight and my joy, for by Your grace I have been forgiven of my sin, received life eternal, and have all I need for life and godliness. Forgive me for the times I have placed my wants and wishes before honouring Your holy name and giving You the glory and respect You alone deserve. Thank You for the many blessings I have received at Your hand. Help me never to become complacent about my great salvation in Christ. This I ask in His holy name, AMEN.
