Prayer for Genesis 3:6

“Then the woman saw that the tree was good for food and delightful to look at, and that it was desirable for obtaining wisdom. So she took some of its fruit and ate [it]; she also gave [some] to her husband, [who was] with her, and he ate [it].”

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word. Thank You for the lessons I can learn from the choices Adam and Eve made so long ago, when they chose to disobey Your Word. Thank You for the many insights into the devastating fall of man and the ease with which we can be deceived and tempted to sin against You - and forfeit Your many blessings. May I not only know the truth of Your word but trust You in all things, so that I will not be seduced by the lies of enemy nor enticed to follow the lusts of my own sinful heart. Thank You, Father, for Your wonderful plan of redemption and for sending Jesus, to be the last Adam and federal Head of a new creation through whom we are saved - by grace through faith. Thank You in Jesus' name, AMEN.
