Praying through Esther 2:6

Heavenly Father, thank You for the wonderful way that You used Esther and Mordecai to prevent the annihilation of the Jewish nation during the time of the Persian empire. I rejoice to see how their faith and hope in You was rekindled and that despite their many failings, You used them to forward Your redemptive plan. I pray that I would not allow the things of this world to undermine my faith in You and my hope in the soon return of the Lord Jesus. Help me to walk in spirit and truth and use me, I pray, in the unfolding of Your wonderful plan of redemption, for the glory of Your holy name. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

“Who had been carried away from Jerusalem with the captivity which had been carried away with Jeconiah king of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away.”

Praying through Esther 2:10

Heavenly Father, thank You for the important reminder from the book of Esther, that we should never compromise our faith, but stand fast in the evil day. Thank You that even when I fail and find myself overwhelmed by the circumstances of life, Your grace is sufficient for me. Thank You that in Christ, I have everything I need for life and godliness so that I am enabled to abound unto every good work. Use me, I pray, in the place where You have planted me, for Your holy name's sake. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“Esther had not shewed her people nor her kindred: for Mordecai had charged her that she should not shew it.”

Praying through Esther 2:15

Loving Heavenly Father, thank You that by grace we are saved and by grace, our sins are remembered no more. Thank You, that by grace we are established in the faith and only by grace are we enabled to carry out the good works You have prepared for us to do. Forgive me for the times I have failed to listen to Your voice and walk in Your ways, and keep me from promoting any worthy works I may have done, for without You I can do nothing. Keep me low at the cross and humble before You, and I pray in Jesus' name, that all I am and all I do would be for His glory and His alone, AMEN.

“Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king's chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her.”
