Prayer for 2 Timothy 1

Heavenly Father, thank You for the insight into this simple, but profound greeting and prayer, which Paul offered for Timothy. We pray that You would pour out, in great measure, Your never-failing grace, Your matchless mercy and Your inner peace, which passes human understanding, on all who are called by Your name - but we also pray for Your saving grace, compassionate mercy and free gift of peace with God - for those who are dead in their sin and who do not know Christ as their God and Saviour. This we ask in His precious name, AMEN.

“To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Prayer Of Gratitude For My Friends

Heavenly Father, how gracious You are to bring into my life my many precious friends - all of which have become so special to me in their own individual and unique way.

I feel so blessed to be surrounded with so many dear people that I love and care for, and for the knowledge that they also love and care for me too – and thank You for the support that I have so often received from different ones , during those times of difficulty and pain.

Thank You also for the valuable lessons that I have learned through… some of which have been very difficult, and yet I have been have enabled through their loving support and encouragement to grow spiritually and emotionally – and gain wisdom and insight in so many important ways.

Help me to be the sort of friend that is always there for others. An ear to listen, a hand to help and a heart to comfort – and help me to grow in grace and in a knowledge of our Saviour, Lord Jesus, so that I me be His hand, His ear, His heart and His comfort to the many precious people that You have place in my life, in Jesus name I pray,

Amen

Heavenly Father, thank You for the epistles of Paul and for this final letter to Timothy. We praise You for the wisdom and grace that is shared in its pages, and ask that we would be faithful servants in the spread of the gospel. Thank You for those who taught us the glorious gospel of grace, and for those that are younger in the faith.. whose lives have impacted our own. May we hold fast to the truth that we have learned, give encouragement to our brothers and sisters in Christ and develop the qualities of faithfulness, fortitude and forbearance.. as we live in this increasingly cruel and ungodly world. This we ask in Jesus name, AMEN.
