Praying through 2 Corinthians 6:2

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your amazing grace and for that wonderful 'day of salvation' when Jesus rose from the dead and broke the power of Satan, sin, death, and hell. Lord, no one knows how many days they have left on the earth. Please bring many who are in that valley of decision, to a saving faith in Christ, before it is too late. Because now is the accepted time and today is the day of salvation. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

“(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)”

Praying through 2 Corinthians 6:7

Heavenly Father, thank You for the ministry and witness of Paul and the many things I can learn from his dedicated attitude in sharing the truth of the gospel. I praise and thank You for the assurance that I also have, that You are my Defence and my Defender and I can trust You no matter what difficulties or dangers I may encounter. May You be glorified in my life, and may I speak the Word of truth boldly, in the power of God, taking up the weapons of righteousness wherever I go. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

“By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,”

Praying through 2 Corinthians 6:10

Thank You, my Father God, that in Christ I have an eternal perspective, whatever happens in my life. In Him, I have a lasting joy and inner peace, no matter what difficulties arise. May I be a living epistle to all the people I meet today and may I, like the Lord Jesus, learn obedience through the trials that You have allowed in my life, to Your praise and glory. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

“As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.”

Praying through 2 Corinthians 6:14

Heavenly Father, thank You that I am Your child and have been made a new creation in Christ. Help me to choose my friends and acquaintances wisely. Direct me, I pray, in the choices I make with regard to the close, personal relationships that I choose to engage in, and may all I say and do be to Your praise and glory. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?”

Praying through 2 Corinthians 6:16

Heavenly Father, what an incredible privilege to have the Holy Spirit living within my human frame. Thank You, Lord, that You have chosen to take up residence in the hearts of all believers and that we have been given the ‘ministry of reconciliation’. Fulfil now, O Lord, the work that you have for me to do, and may I live for Your glory and consecrate my life to Your service. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”

Praying through 2 Corinthians 6:17

Father God, over the years I know that many times I have been enticed by the world and each time, I discover myself out of fellowship with You. I desire in word and deed, mind and motive, to be separated unto You, in the power of the Holy Spirit. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

“Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,”

Praying through 2 Corinthians 6:18

Heavenly Father, how I praise and thank You that by faith, I have become Your child. Thank You, that You are not only the God Who created me, but my Heavenly Father, Who has promised to be with me and to walk with me, and Who desires to fellowship with me. Thank You for sending Jesus to be my Saviour, and that in Him I have been made a new creation. Keep me from fraternising with the world, and help me to be a living testimony of Your goodness and grace. Help me to live a life that is holy and acceptable to You O Lord, my Rock, and my Redeemer. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.”
