Loving Lord, we come before You today to ask for Your steadfast love and healing comfort on all those that are grieving, as a result of a spouse that has proved to be unfaithful to their marriage vows – but we also pray for those that are blinded to the destructive effect that adultery has on marriages and families.. and pray for godly repentance and a change of heart.. so that there may be a speedy reconciliation between husband and wife..
We pray for restoration and reconciliation in all marriages that have been adversely affected by gross sexual sin and adultery. But we also lift up those who have already repented of their sin of adultery.. and ask that You would be gracious to the husband or wife who broke their marriage vows, but has come to a realisation of the devastating result of their adulterous affair. We pray Your mercy and grace on all who genuinely seek to change their behaviour and have confessed their sin before You.
We pray that in Your grace.. marriages that have suffered from the devastating effect of adultery may be restored, and we ask that through godly repentance on the one hand.. and true forgiveness on the other, You would heal any pain that was caused, release any shame or resentment and draw both partners into a closer marriage union and more intimate relationship with each other - and with You.. this we ask in Jesus name,
