Praying through Revelation 22:13

Heavenly Father, when I truly reflect on Who You are, I am lost for words. How can it be that my dear Saviour left His heavenly throne of splendour and came to earth to suffer a life of humiliation and death, all for the love of me? Thank You, my Father, for sending Jesus to be my Saviour. Thank You, Jesus, for dying for my sin and for the gift of eternal life. You are the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. May my life be filled with You and lived for Your glory, and may Your praise be on my lips forever. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.”

Praying through Revelation 22:16

Heavenly Father, Your plan of redemption is staggering, and I worship and praise You for Your goodness and grace to the children of men. Thank You that You sent the Lord Jesus to be born into the human race so that by faith in Him, we may be transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of Your dear Son. Thank You for revealing Your plans and purposes through the holy Scriptures, and for purposing that the eternal Son should be born as the perfect Man - to die and rise again for my sake. As I watch for the any-day return of Jesus, keep me focussed on You, so that I may live and work to Your praise and glory. In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

“I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.”

Praying through Revelation 22:17

Heavenly Father, thank You that Jesus is the Living Water in Whom are the words of eternal life and Who satisfies the thirsty. Thank You that I am part of His Bride. I long for that day when Christ returns to take us to be with Himself into heaven. I pray that the many souls who are lost in sin and facing a lost eternity without God and without hope, would come and drink of the living water and be saved through faith in Him. Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus! In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.

“And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.”

Praying through Revelation 22:18

Heavenly Father, thank You for the truth of Your unchanging and unchangeable Word. May I study to show myself approved unto God, and not be swayed by any wind of doctrine that covertly takes away or adds to Your Word of truth. Guide me into all truth, I pray, through the power of Your indwelling Holy Spirit. Enable me to share the truth in love and to challenge those that have deviated from Your Word for another gospel. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:”

Praying through Revelation 22:19

Heavenly Father, as I reflect on Psalm 138 where You say, "I have exulted My Word above My Name," I start to understand how important these two warnings in Revelation 22 are. May I personally never add to or take away from Your Word and give me discernment to reject any teaching or organisation that adds to or takes away from the Bible. Thank You for Your Word that is so precious to You and to me. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

“And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”

Praying through Revelation 22:20

Heavenly Father, I am so excited as I anticipate the soon return of the Lord Jesus. I glorify Your name for Your precious reassurances that Your Word is faithful and true. I am so thankful that Jesus, Himself, testifies to these things and tells us He is coming quickly. What a blessed day that will be, when He comes to take His Bride to live with Him forever. What a wonderful promise that all tears will be wiped away and all sadness will be turned into joy. Praise Your name for this blessed assurance and for these precious final words in the Bible: "Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus." AMEN.

“He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.”
