Praying through Revelation 20:1

Heavenly Father, thank You that You have told us the end from the beginning and that the enemy of our souls has already been defeated by the blood of Christ at Calvary's Cross and that his full and final sentence has already been written, ahead of time. Thank You that we are not appointed to wrath, and I pray for many today who face that terrible time of trouble in the Tribulation if they do not trust in Christ's sacrificial work on Calvary, for the forgiveness of their sin. Give me the opportunity to share the good news of the gospel of grace with those that are lost, and bring many more to glory. I pray in Jesus' name and for His dear sake, AMEN.

“And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.”

Praying through Revelation 20:4

Heavenly Father, thank You for telling us the end from the beginning, so that we do not have any excuse to reject Your gracious offer of salvation – by grace through faith in Christ’s atoning work on Calvary and His glorious resurrection from the dead. Lord there are many that remain dead in their trespasses and sins and will face this terrible time of Jacob’s Trouble if they do not turn from their sin and trust in Christ for salvation. Use me to spread abroad the glories of His name and the serious consequences that await those who reject Your offer of redemption. May Your holy name be praised, and we pray in unison – Maranatha – Come Lord Jesus, in Whose name we pray, AMEN.

“And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.”

Praying through Revelation 20:6

Heavenly Father, it is a sober thought to realise that all who reject God's offer of salvation will take part in the second resurrection and have to face the Great White Throne Judgement and the second death. I pray that You would use me in the time that we have left to witness of the glorious gospel of the grace of God - that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again, so that whosoever believes on Him would not perish but take part in the first resurrection and receive life everlasting. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”

Praying through Revelation 20:11

Heavenly Father, Your goodness and grace towards the children of men is staggering - for we have all sinned and should all receive the wages of our sin, which is death. And yet by grace, Christ died for my sin and took the punishment on my account.. and for all who trust in His name. Thank You that by grace I will not be standing before the great white judgement throne of God.. but I pray that while there is still time, some who are living in unbelief will come to a knowledge of the truth and into a saving faith in Christ.. in Whose name we pray, AMEN.

“And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.”
