Heavenly Father, thank You for the words of wisdom from the psalmist who fled to You in times of trouble and found in You his exceeding joy. Thank You that You are the joy of my salvation and the strength of my heart. Ignite in my heart a faith that holds fast to my hope in You, and I pray that the trials that I am facing today would be food upon which my trust in You will feed. May I never forget that Your grace is sufficient and made perfect in my weakness. Help me to fan into flame my faith in You, even when oppressed and discouraged. Thank You, in Jesus' name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, there is much in this fallen world that can drag us into depression and distress of soul, but my hope is in You for You are the Anchor of my soul and the Rock of my salvation. When my soul is inclined towards despair or when fear begins to creep into my heart, I pray that I would hope in God, fix my mind on Jesus, trust You with all my heart, and present my life to you as a sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving. Thank You that You are my God, the Lover of my soul, the Light of the world, and the joy of all the ends of the earth. My hope is in You and I praise Your name forever and ever, AMEN.
