Praying through Psalm 40:1

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your precious promises to me and to all men, and thank You for Christ my Kinsman-Redeemer. Thank You for His perfect example of patience. Thank You for His long-suffering as He hung on the Cross and slept in the tomb, waiting for the Resurrection of His body. Thank You that having been forgiven of my sins, I too have no fear of death and hell. Give me patience to endure to the end, to Your praise and glory. This I pray in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“{To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.} I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.”
(Psalm 40:1)

Praying through Psalm 40:2

Heavenly Father, thank You that there is no pit of destruction so deep and no miry clay so oppressive that Your hand of blessing and encouragement is not able to reach down, raise me up, and set my feet upon the Rock of my salvation. Help me to wait patiently for You to act on my behalf and let me never doubt Your Word to heal or Your will to save. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.”
(Psalm 40:2)

Praying through Psalm 40:8

Loving Heavenly Father, I delight to do Your will and meditate on Your Word. Multiply my desire for You, I pray, so that my life may be a testimony to Your love and grace. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

“I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.”
