Heavenly Father, forgive me for the times when I have delighted myself in wrong things. Keep me from fretting over evildoers in this increasingly confusing world, and help me to keep the eyes of my heart on Jesus and to delight myself in the things of God. Align my thoughts to Your thoughts, I pray, and my will to the will of God. May the desires of my heart unite with Your perfect will and eternal purposes, for Your everlasting praise and glory. Loving Father, I want to commit all my ways to You and trust implicitly in Your Word. I know that You have a plan for my life which I can hinder when I seek to do things my way. Keep me ever looking to Jesus, in Whose name I pray, AMEN.
Loving Lord, forgive me for the times that I have allowed the wicked ways of the ungodly to disturb my rest in You. Keep me from anxious thoughts, and may I learn to be still in Your presence, to rest in Your love, and to wait patiently for You to act, knowing that You work all things together for my benefit and for Your glory. Thank You, Father, that my steps are ordered by You, that You take delight in establishing the way I should go, and are able keep me from falling. Help me to set my heart on things above, knowing that Christ is seated at the right hand of God as my eternal provider Who delights to order my way and establish the path I should take.
