Heavenly Father, thank You for the many truths that are hidden within the precious pages of Your word. I pray that the plans and purposes of my heart will mirror the desire of Your will for me. Thank You that my life is in Your hands, and I pray that the answer of my tongue and the plans for my life are perfectly aligned to Your word and Your will, this I ask in Jesus name, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, today I commit all my works and activities to You. Please work through me, so that Your plan for my life will reach their full fruition, to Your praise and glory, AMEN
Heavenly Father, the past few years seem to have sped by and here we are preparing for the graduation of our precious child.. who not so long ago was a helpless babe in our arms.
Thank You for this child that You gave us to care for and nurture and as they face the unknown future we pray that You would draw very close to them and lead and guide in the days that lie ahead.
Our own hearts are a mixture of contrasting emotions: - pride in their achievement and concern for their future well-being. But we do pray that this graduation ceremony would be a special time of celebration and that nothing would mar the joy and excited anticipation we are feeling.. despite the inevitable tinges of apprehension.
As our child reaches this important milestone in their life we ask for Your continued presence to lead and to guide in all things.. and as they step out into the unknown world of new responsibilities and life-challenges, we finally hand them completely over into Your safe-keeping and ask that Your presence will accompany them and that they continue to grow in grace and draw ever closer to You with each passing day – this we ask in Jesus name
Heavenly Father, thank You that You are a God whose promises never fail and Whose word is righteous and true – and Father You have promised to send rain in their seasons so that the land will yield its increase and the trees will bear their fruit – but Lord the severe lack of rain has caused this land to become like a dust bowl and we are afraid that the labour of planting and harvesting will come to nothing if we do not receive rain very soon.
Lord Your word says “He will give the rain for your land in its season, the early and late rain, that you may gather in your grain and Your new wine and Your oil,” and You have promised, “rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, satisfying hearts with food and gladness.”
Lord we do not deserve Your grace but for the sake of Your holy name we ask that You would water the land and provide us with the rain that You promised in this season – for Jesus name sake,
Heavenly Father, thank You for the clear warnings about pride and arrogance and the terrible consequences that come when nurturing a haughty spirit. Keep me I pray from the sin of pride or from trusting in my own importance... or from thinking that I can add to my salvation or contribute towards my sanctification through my own works. Help me to grow in grace and to walk in spirit and truth - in Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father there are many that spread strife and cause division through gossip and lies or they lack integrity and demean others. Deliver me, O my God, out of the hand of the wicked, and save me from perverse people and those that seek to control the lives of others. I pray that my lips may be filled with gracious speech and healing words and that I develop an empathetic and listening ear. May I acknowledge You in all my ways and develop an understanding heart by Your grace. Thank You in Jesus' name I pray, AMEN.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the wise teachings in the book of Proverbs. I pray that I may take to heart the wisdom that it teaches and apply it to my own life. I pray that with every passing year I may grow in grace and wisdom, through an increasing knowledge of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. I pray that I may embrace every season of life as an opportunity to mature in the faith and grow closer to You – knowing that old age and a grey head of hair is a crown of glory, when found in those that are declared righteous, by faith. Thank You in Jesus name, AMEN.
