Praying through Mark 14:36

Heavenly Father, what amazing grace that You should send Your only begotten Son to be born as a man and suffer and die for me. I will never completely understand the stress my Saviour was under, when, sweating drops of blood because of the enormity of what lay ahead of Him, He uttered those words: "Not My will but Your will be done." But I praise and thank You that the Lord Jesus was willing to face the enormous consequences of the Cross and become sin for my sake. The wrath of God that I justly deserved was poured out on Him in my stead. The gift of my salvation that cost Jesus so much is freely given to me so that by believing in Him, I might be forgiven, redeemed, justified, sanctified, and glorified. Thank You, Lord, to Your praise and glory, AMEN.

“And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.”

Praying through Mark 14:61

Heavenly Father, I stand amazed that the Lord Jesus Christ should be so despised and rejected of men and accused of such terrible blasphemy in the most shocking manner, knowing that He had come to die on the Cross to pay the price for the sins of the high priest and all those who were accusing Him in that court of law, knowing that He had come to earth to die for my sins and the sins of the whole world, so that whosoever believes in Him would not perish but have everlasting life. Praise His holy name, AMEN.

“But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?”

Praying through Mark 14:62

Heavenly Father, it is most wonderful to know that You sent God the Son to become the Son of Man, and to realise that Jesus is not only fully God but became fully man, so He could shed His human life-blood for the salvation of sinful humanity and redeem a lost world. It grieves my heart to think of Christ suffering at the hands of Caiaphas and the Jews, but it also rejoices my soul that He died so that I might live eternally with Him, and is seated at Your right hand. As I wait for the imminent Rapture of the Church, before the 7 year Tribulation period begins, I rejoice to know that Jesus is coming again in the clouds of heaven, at the end of the Great Tribulation, to complete His work through a new generation of Israel, and will reign on earth as King of kings and God of all. How I praise Your name, for You alone are worthy. This I pray in Jesus’ name, AMEN.

“And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.”

Praying through Mark 14:64

Loving Lord and Heavenly Father, I realise how easy it is to allow my own developed perceptions and limited knowledge to colour my understanding of who You truly are and what Jesus has done for me. My great salvation is a most glorious truth and I pray that I will not become influenced by the ways of the world, deceived by satanic lies or succumb to my own fleshly thinking. Thank You that Your Word is true, unbiased, all-reaching, ever merciful, and open to all who will humble themselves and call upon You in time of need. Thank You that You are the King of Glory and Lord of my Life, and thank You that Your sufficient grace exceeds my needs. May my ears be ever open to Your voice and my heart ever-ready to do Your will. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.”
