Praying through Luke 5:8

Heavenly Father, thank You for the truths that are written in Your Word and for the many lessons that they teach me. May I set all that I am and all that I have aside so that Christ will become an increasing reality in my life, until I am nothing and He is everything. To Him be all praise and glory, AMEN.

“When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.”

Praying through Luke 5:31

Heavenly Father, there are many in that need Your healing hand upon their lives. Thank You that You came to heal the broken-hearted and set the captives free from their bondage of sin. Father, I pray that many would recognise their brokenness and diseased lives and admit their need of Your touch upon their lives. Thank You that Christ died to pay the terrible price for our sin and that through His blood we are healed and made whole. Use me to share this good news with those with whom I come in contact today. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.”
(Luke 5:31)

Praying through Luke 5:32

Loving Father, how I praise Your name for Your wonderful plan of redemption; that You looked down at the sin of humanity and sent Christ Jesus to call sinners to turn from their sins and to trust Him as their one and only Saviour, by grace through faith in Him. Thank You, in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
