Praying through Deuteronomy 6:4

Heavenly Father, You alone are worthy of my praise and worship, for You alone are the true and living God. Thank You that You sent Your only begotten Son to be born as the incarnate Word of God and to take upon Himself the punishment for the sin of the world. Thank you that you sent the Holy Spirit to indwell every believer. And thank You that that despite Israel’s rebellion, You have promised to one day establish Your chosen, covenant people back in the land that You promised to their forefather, Abraham. Praise Your holy name, for You alone are worthy of worship. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

Praying through Deuteronomy 6:5

Heavenly Father, what amazing grace You have shown to me and the entire human race, that Your love for us is so great that You would send Your only begotten Son to die for our sin. No matter what it takes, I pray that I may learn to love You with all my heart, and soul, and mind, and strength - and with every fibre of my being, knowing that it is only as I die to self and live for Christ, that Your love may be manifested in me. Thank You, in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.”

Praying through Deuteronomy 6:6

Heavenly Father, thank You for the Word of God and all the wisdom and instructions it contains. I pray that I may abide in Christ and He in me, and that my life would be a testimony to Your goodness and grace. May my inner and outward actions, attitude, words, and motives, reflect a heart that loves the Lord with all my heart, and soul, and mind, and strength, to Your honour and glory. This I ask in Jesus' name, AMEN.

Praying through Deuteronomy 6:7

Heavenly Father, thank You for this important lesson. Keep me alert to the dangers of falling into a worldly mindset and help me to keep the eyes of my heart on Jesus. I pray for the younger generation that are surrounded by increasing attacks on the Word of God. Help us all to teach the truth of God's Word to our children at every opportunity and protect the hearts and minds of our children and grandchildren. This I pray in Jesus' name, AMEN.

“And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.”
