Prayer for Deuteronomy 4

Choose Verse

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word and the truths that it contains. Lord, we know that throughout the history of the world, man has sought to discredit and distort biblical truth. Give me a teachable spirit and help me to read Your word with wisdom and discernment. Provide teachers who do not distort the inspired text, through their own denominational biases or flawed understanding. Correct any biases I may have, and may Your Holy Spirit protect me from any half-truth or part-truths, that may distort my understanding - and guide me into all truth, I pray, in Jesus name, AMEN.

“Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.”

That They Learn To Trust Jesus as Saviour

Heavenly Father I lift us each of my grandchildren to You and thank You for each life that is so special in Your sight. Lord I pray that each one will come to know Christ as Saviour early in their lives and desire a close walk with You through their teens and twenties and into adulthood.

May they learn to love Your Word and to come to know the value of prayer in their lives so that they grow up into men and women that live godly in Christ Jesus,

Lord I pray that all of us that have a touch on these young lives will teach them day by day about the Lord Jesus and the wonderful truths in Your Word – both in word and by example - just as the mother and grandmother of Timothy taught him the truth of the Word of God. Guide each of my precious grandchildren into all truth and bring them into true saving faith I pray… for You have promised that children that are brought up in the way that they should go will not depart from it as they grow older..

Keep each one I pray under the shadow of Your protection and love and may they grow in grace and discernment and wisdom throughout their lives – and use each one I pray in Your service I pray, to Your praise and glory, in Jesus name I pray,

Amen

“Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons;”
